Was the 2006 class our worst ever?

I went back and was looking over several of the recruiting classes and it is very clear that Fulmer and crew was very lazy on the recruiting trails...I mean seriously...Good example, Look at the 2009 class...Take away Kiffins recruits and look at the class...Not exactly top notch...In fact below average.

Not true and in all honesty a pretty ignorant post. We had a top ten recruiting class before Fulmer was fired. Kiffin came in and some recruits De committed and other recruits were told to look elsewhere. Obviously we probably finished stronger with kiffin, but Fulmer had a nice recruiting class shaping up for 2009.

That's just silly. I know many of you just love to hammer Fulmer whenever the opportunity arises, but there's no way to know for sure how that class would have turned out with Fulmer at the helm. Most of the players who signed were considering Tennessee before Kiffin was hired, and some decided to go elsewhere after that hire. I think that we can say for certain that Janzen Jackson and Bryce Brown wouldn't have signed, and the book is still being written on them. They looked good as freshmen, but so did Lamarcus Coker. There are other players like Marlon Brown and Jarvis Giles who likely would have signed with Fulmer. It should also be noted that two of Kiffin's recruits actually have been removed. Honestly, you people need to move on as badly as the Fulmerites who wanting him to come back once Kiffin left. Crying over the poor recruiting classes of the past doesn't do us any good now.
