Badges(plural) is the issue. I get along with gator99,Lawgator, and other posters who aren't Vols fans on this board. We discuss football,talk smack, agree and disagree on issues. I'm not on a Pedestal and I bet if you joined any other board in the SEC you would get the same questions with the same treatment.

Depends on how Haden really feels about him. The probation blindsided Kiff. By the time he restocks it will probably be too late.

I wouldn't have minded it a bit had he stayed this year, but I think 3 years was his max anyway.

haden was consulted when kiffin was brought over and he's a pretty resonable guy. i imagine he wont be fired unless SC really goes in the crapper.

I've heard that, but the talking heads don't think he is all that enamoured Kiff Jr. That is where I get a little confused.

I do... I have no problem with him leaving but he should have waited a few years for the NCAA mess to clear up. Patience is a virtue

Kiffin looked like he was having fun here and was recruiting really well. Now he looks miserable

my belief is this comes from this theory that haden is a "good guy" and kiffin is a "bad boy." in reality haden was the head of the search committe. no way he didn't ok the kiffin hire.

I understand why he left, but there had to be a reason USC had to go so far down their list (people turning the job down) until they got to Kiffin.

There had to be a reason people weren't wanting such a great job.

One, I'm sure the NCAA snooping around scared people. And two, you never want to be the first guy to follow a legend or someone like Carroll who had a crazy amount of success; you always want to be the second guy.

No doubt he saw those probelms looming ahead (I am assuming u mean the lack of depth especially at QB)

Honestly, thats the only reason (IMO) why he left (b/c of the QB situation here vs USC)

he just failed to see the risks that USC had

It would have been impossible for him to think there were any NCAA issues since the Bush investigation had only been going on for four years. I just don't see how they lost with the greatest defensive coordinator ever known to man. Did Washington actually score against his defense?
