Yup. TCU 12-0 regular season. Alabama 10-2 regular season. Not only does TCU have 2 less loss, but they had to play an extra game that Bama didn't. Basically,

If Bama gets in, it's 100% rigged. You would be punishing TCU for having to play a conference championship game that Bama wasn't good enough to be in.

Hopefully, TCU stays at 3 or we get in

TCU has 1 less loss not 2. It is going to depend upon what the committee really thinks of TCU. All I will say is their luck to come back ran out.

If they are going to keep the championships all of them should simply be #1 & #2 regardless of division, and all should become the first round of the playoff.

Then maybe one smaller school and an at large.

All conferences are not equal…….just saying if their going to keep the championships.

The CFP committee IS the height of absurdity so look for it to happen. It’s all about $$ and ratings. The TCU Cinderella story is now over so they will be discarded in favor of a team that will generate rating…Bama.$$$

The championship games both give the teams that play an advantage and a dis-advantage. The advantage is the chance to give the committee one last reason to pick you - the dis-advantage is you could lose and give the committee one last reason to not select you.

Agree with you about TCU but not us. OSU with one loss will be.

Hooker went down in the 4th, ball game was pretty much a wrap.

Anyway 2-2 on the loss side with 2 more to go. Could there be one or two more?

Could the top 4 teams all be coming into the playoffs off a of a loss?

Not any team but they would not go through a season like they had without 3-4 losses.

What many don't understand is that every SEC team is a tough out with a few exceptions.
The SEC is not a finesse league and playing a SEC opponent every week wears you out. Commonly referred to as "the Grind".

The key to surviving the Grind is Scheduling. Look at GA's Schedule this year as an example. They really only had to get up for one game which was us this year @ Home.

They are in the SEC Championship and will struggle against LSU for a while.

If bammer played TCU, Vegas would have the gumps as 20 point favorites.

There is no comparison between SEC speed. THE CFP teams should be from east of the Mississippi River. That is where the USA speed lives.

i think TCU got screwed on that 3rd & goal. should've at least gotten a review to see if it was a TD or not. Because I know we as Vols fans would be going nuts if that happened to Tennessee in a game

I'm red hot man. TCU, Ohio State, USC, and Clemson ALL lose, and we still get to sit at home.
All we had to do was beat a bad South Carolina team. A real shot at a title on the line, and we give up 9 touchdowns. NINE.

"Oh but there was a fight in the locker room so that explains it."

I was unaware that locker room skirmishes made you unable to tackle and cover. I'll never understand it. Just about had a near-perfect season.

So what would be the worse for the playoffs?

- Having four teams who lost their last game in the mix
- Having 2 teams who WON their last game but have 2 losses.

This is one year where a playoff wasn't needed. They should just get to Georgia vs Michigan. Who would have a complaint?

actually they didn’t and that 2014 is what spurred the Big 12 to go back and have a championship game. While OSU and others were winning their championship games in 2014, the Big 12 declared both Baylor and TCU co-champions based on their league 8-1 records. The CFP took notice and this is what spurred actually the Big 12 to take action and start the championship games back up.

It’s all a crock. Bama is in because money is everything. It’s not football, it’s entertainment.
