Watch what happens, TCU loses, USC West lost, Alabama is in

They probably will drop a spot.

However championship wins and losses do not count the same as regular season (unless the loss is a blowout).

Everyone is playing an “extra” game usually vs a quality opponent; while everyone else is not playing.

A championship win is thought of as more than a normal win. A championship loss (non blowout) is thought of as less than a regular loss.

It’s been that way and Really why shouldn’t it be that way?

In TCU’s case, in a weak conference it could look bad. How can you not won that weak conference and expect to win a playoff?

MLK jr once said that "a man hasn't truly lived until he has not truly lived until he has found the thing he is willing to die for."

My thing is Bama not making the playoffs.

He said any sec team. Believe it or not there’s other teams in the country outside the sec and not every team in the sec is invincible to teams outside of the sec.
Believe it or not TCU 5-0 ### ON comeback wins wouldn’t happen in the SEC ! At best 3-2 more likely 2-3 record. That’s the SEC…Would you agree…?

Everyone “thinks” that.

TCU’s strength of schedule is better than Georgia’s, it’s better than Michigan’s, it’s better than OSU’s,

The team they played in their championship was better than anyone else played in theirs

TCU SOS > Georgia, OSU, Michigan = not weak (not strong like Tennessee but we’re not talking about that)

12-1 vs whatever Bama has to offer which isn’t much.

I agree, I don’t see TCU dropping out of the top four. I can see how some might see the Big 12 as weak though.

No doubt……..not a lot of great teams as we know them. They do have the 4 & 10. But the normal ones are down.

Heck the Big-10 is really down you got the top 2 a big gap then p-ST then really nothing.

The PAC champ lost to Florida

ACC you got Clemson……then really nothing and Clemson lost to 2 8-4 teams and their best win was vs an 8-4 team.

Just saying that cause I think the B-12 is probably tougher than folks want to think…not like the SEC……but considering the other conferences…….,their every bit as good or better.

If there was an argument because of TCU loss the way GA is manhandling Lsu proves one thing. Sec East superior this year because Tn manhandled Lsu and Bama lost. Tn now has another metric over them. In the end Tcu will get in at 4th spot. Oh st at 3 to match up with Mich . In CHRIST Alone

And this is why there needs to be a playoff system with either 8 or 16. Because I don’t like it where the top teams get a (bye) ! Why have the playoffs just leave it the way it is now if that’s the case.

No way IMO - You cant lose this late in the season and not drop at least 2 spaces and they are already #3 - I think they will likely be #5 - Ohio State and Alabama go to 3 and 4 (provided Michigan wins)

Georgia 13-0
Michigan 13-0
Ohio State 12-1
Alabama 11-2
TCU 12-1
Tennessee 10-2
Clemson 11-2
USC 11-2
Penn St 10-2

I'd say TCU stays #4. They played one more game have one less loss. Assuming they give the Big 12 any credit at all, I don't see how you drop TCU below #4.

** If USC won, then maybe you could make the argument of OSU over TCU.

So your saying if they’re in the SEC and when they get to the meat of there schedule. Okay….They play Florida…At LSU….Alabama…Kentucky…at Georgia….My question to you do you think they comeback and win those 5 games. I’m laughing at you 🤣🥶 2 maybe three….by the way that’s Tennessee schedule and we went 5-1 !!! If they played us they would lose…That’s my BOLD statement and not hypothetical 🤣😂

The bolded is your faulty logic - but you could well be right and they just drop a single slot.

For what it’s worth, the “Allstate Playoff Predictor” still has TCU in at a 92.2% chance and still at seed 3. OSU AT #4 at 82%. Bama at #5 at 20%. Looks to me like the top 4 are locked.
Already starting to hear from the media that the committee needs to be “subjective” in deciding the best team. All non subjective criteria was thrown out when Bama was put ahead of Tennessee. What makes you think TCU will be treated differently?

The CFP committee is useless. They have no more insight as to the best teams than anyone else.

I used to think the same way.

But really if you lose the last game or the second to last game or week 10……what’s the difference?

In this case the difference was they played an extra game when most teams weren’t playing.

Oh it’s not my opinion that’s the bs the committee will put out.
