WVU threw for 400+...maybe we can throw the ball on them.

Of course you can throw on them, that is what they want. They want you to throw so they can force mistakes.

I thought the coach was a little over the top by the way. You can't go nuts on every play or questionable call.

It's called bending without breaking. You really think LSU's defense is worse than Maryland's? WVU was doing everything LSU wanted them to.

Well, we're not going to be able to run on them, so what other choice do we have?

WVU seemed to do better when they did an up-tempo, no-huddle offense. I wonder how well we can do that?

re: chavis

for a supposedly great defense, the west virginia q.b. could have gotten through a russian novel with the time he had. i was convinced at the start of the 4th quarter that wva had a really good chance. chavis's crew wasn't within a mile of stopping them. chavis is great when the other team plays into his game plan, but he can't spell 'adjustment'. and btw, there were a lot of '3rd and chavis's' last night, and guess what happened. bama will blow their doors off.

If LSu could not stop them they would have had a lot more than 21 points. LSU did not blitz in the second half, sat back and waited for the turnovers. They probably would have blitzed in the second half but WV was basically starting at their own 10. LSU had WV doing exactly what they wanted, move the ball 90 yards with 7 great athletes in coverage.

Two of the best offenses in the nation held to 19pts (oregon) and 21pts(wv). The QB for WV played a good game but there is no way you are going to move the ball all game from the 10 and having to complete 8-10 passes to get into scoring range constantly against that D. WV has quality guys at QB and WR, the quick passing game kept the wolves at bay. WV played the quick passing game better than Oregon but at the end of the day you have to complete so many passes to even have a chance of scoring that it's pretty tough against a LSU or say a Alabama D.

What hurt LSU on D was bad tackling, many of the DBs missed tackles that they normally make. That is good something to yell at them about this week. Mo actually had a bad game in coverage, he even said so.

Alabama and LSU are very similar, should be a good game. I like the improvements LSU is making on offense with Crowton finally gone.

Because they don't play teams named Texas, Oklahoma, etc.

WVU's conference is made up of teams playing D1 football for less than 10 years.

You have NO CLUE what you are talking about...In just the past 5 years WVU has beaten UGA, Auburn, Miss St, Oklahoma, UNC, Colorado,...Do your research next time before making yourself look like a clueless idiot :salute:

I don't care who they've beaten, Morgantown, West Virginia University, and WVU fans are absolutely worthless and don't belong in the SEC.

I didn't watch the game but wish I did. Looking at the stats though and some of the reports from you guys, sort of sounds like that amazing secondary I kept hearing about all offseason is a tad overrated?

They've also lost to
Auburn, LSUx2, Pittx2, USFx2, Cincinnatix3, Colorado, Syracuse, East Carolina, NC State, UConn, Florida St, Louisville.

They beat Georgia in 2005, by 3. Outside of your 5 year time span.

Thanks, come again.

UT Gibbs calls that game, set, match and then throws in something about the backdoor always being open.
