Watching UF/Miami (OH)....thinking ahead

Yeah that 4th down fake punt basically switched the momentum back to Florida, which you never need to help with. Horrible call. Game over now.

Don't be surprised if we have a disappointing first quarter as well. Lots of jitters, lots of young players.

most opening college games are like that; i'm glad we're playing a team like UTM just so we can get it out of our systems

(this is why i like how the NFL does it though; while i'm not a fan of how long the preseason is, it prevents week one games from being like this)

Well, I'm certainly not chalking up a W against FL at all...ha...there's some major koolade drinkers in here...

What I AM saying is that I think there are some talent surprises, and I don't believe the gap is as wide as it's been made out to be.

it was also a "we know we're not going to beat Florida unless we take every chance we get...and do everything right"

the coach at least realizes how far out of it his team really is in this game

True, but that's a stupid call no matter how you slice it. If it was at midfield, I'd be all for it, but not at your own 21 after a previous turnover.

Wow...what a terrible offense...that being said, Florida's offense is surprisingly impotent against a horrendous defense

UF is about to blow this one open. looks like they are just working out some kinks. did look like garbage in qtr 1.

i'd agree a bit more if they were a better team

the main thing killing them is their offense is absolutely horrid; they drop almost every pass when it hits them in the hands on the short routes

I would like to see Brantley at least have to mount a drive longer than 10 yards for a touchdown. At least make it hard on him Miami(OH).

Watching Miami's ability to stop the UF run does give me a bit more confidence that our lack of DTs won't be as big of a problem with UF as the rest of our schedule...

Well, I really think losing Tebow takes a lot of fear out of defenses...Brantley just doesn't have near the same swagger

I think 1 guy depends on if we beat UF this year or not. And that's Simms. He plays well we have a chance, if not, forget about it

we're going to need more than 1 guy to beat them

and miami drops another ball that hits the guy in the hands

Wow. We may have a chance to beat uf. I see to problems they have on offense. Those snaps are way too low. I mean like every other snap. And Brantley looks way too shook up for a 4 year qb. The rb aren't that good without the threat of Tebow doin an option. They have 18 yards in the 1st half. But their defense is still better than 9 offenses in the sec. If we play uf and don't do fake punts and make then drive the whole field we can keep it close. But this team is not that good. Right now I would say SC has to be the favorites in the east.

12 yards of offense in the first half, seriously? Dang, that's worse than the 2008 Vols, especially when you factor talent into the equation.

Their defense is still ridiculous. Let's be honest, they had problems last year on offense too. We just couldn't move the ball on them. All they really had last year was Tebow and Hernandez. Their defense is still going to be silly, and very opportunistic.

Also, lol @ SC being favorites in the east.

they have two more weeks to fix that snap problem. if they're still dropping snaps next week, then we need to be talking about this
