Watchmen

Ok, so times out. It sucks then? I was so hoping this was the next X-Men and a total action flick??? It has super heros in it, so wouldn't it be natural to expect an action flick? So is it 2.5 hours of character development? I like character development. or is it just boring?

The best description I've heard is that it's a suspense/mystery movie based on superheroes. There are some good action scenes, but it's definitely more plot heavy.

It sounds like you should go see it, niss. It didn't live up to my expectations, but I can appreciate the depth of the questions the movie asks the viewer, even in the face of all the silliness of gratuitous sex scenes and small plot holes.

I thought it was a good movie. I didn't go in expecting anymore than what I saw on trailers and thought Dr. Manhattan looked like a good character. Rorschach was probably the best character except the actor looked too much like the robot dude from "American Pie' to take seriously.

Only weird angle to the movie I can think of was the Watchmen are not superheroes so why did they seem to have super human abilities?

They are more anti-heroes.

Yeah, I caught that. The morality ending was the same as the end of the Dark knight II. I guess I pictured it wrong when they were billed as normal people who sought to fill their illusions in costumes.

I just got finished watching it & didn't care much for it. It was decent but it will not be going into my collection.

Then what are they?

Martial artists with cool costumes! I wasn't really too disappointed, but I wasn't blown away either. There are several good one liners.

It is really a treatise on human nature. That is the best way to describe the movie for me.

Is this because they aren't heroes? The way I heard it billed is, they were normal people who wore costumes and basically became vigilantes.

That's how it was supposed to be, but the movie makes it seem like they have "super human" abilities in that they are punching brick into rubble, and taking ridiculous amounts of abuse. That's one of my gripes about the movie.

On a side note: Not a fan of either franchise, but the Terminator and Star Trek trailers might force me back to the theaters.

No mention of bOObs yet. Any bOObs? :boobies:

A good action flick should always have plenty of bOObs.

You'll get some frontal and side view of an attractive female's mammary glands. And I am not talking about glancing shots, either.
