I think ill remain cautiously optimistic..if they can end the season top five, win either the sec tournament or sec regular season, and at least a final four berth, i think ill call that a success, and i hope thats the case. Im rooting for holly, i really am

I would like to be optimistic also.... but i do not see what will change (i have not heard of anything regarding different philosophy, different offensive scheme, etc) that hasn't been the same in 30 years as asst coach and 6 full years of total control of the team.... i am hopeful something will change though

They have the Lady Vols coming in at #8. Was looking at us being around the 10 to 15 range. Guess they are looking at talent we have on the roster. Just hope Holly is ready this upcoming season.

Stated by ESPN... "Diamond DeShields said she came back to Tennessee for her senior year to play alongside and help mentor what most believe is the best recruiting class in the country, a group that includes top-20 signees guards Evina Westbrook and Anastasia Hayes and wing Rennia Davis. They join DeShields and veterans Mercedes Russell, Jaime Nared and Alexa Middleton. This could be a make-or-break year in Knoxville, Tennessee."

Original Post..

No DD, Cooper, or Middleton...

I know the feeling. After 26 losses in two seasons with CHW "I don't know' presser interviews my excitement for what the future holds for our beloved Lady Vols has hit rock bottom. There's just no way to get around it.

Now mind you I can get excited again for the team but I'm taking a wait & see approach.

All because of CHW. :nono:

Well stated .

That would definitely be a definition of success. Now go out and do it .....but as I recall that has been the call the last three years or was that just an echo I have been hearing.

I will be happy if we win the games we are suppose to win and be competitive in the others. I think team chemistry will go a long way to some stability.

I am with you all the way on this!!! Let's just take care of business where we should and everything will fall as it will....

As for national rankings I do not see how we can be that high.... given our existing situation..... I mean coaches need to coach and players need to play... and that has not been the case last few years.....

As for nuts and bolts..... we have big name talent who haven't always brought their best game to the forefront when it has mattered.... and a bevvy of freshmen..... we will be lucky if at least one of them can get out of the chute quickly..... and really contribute right away in a meaningful way.....

keys will be how competent CHW will be at taking control of team, command their respect, and teach and coach basic fundamentals to them.... and how successful we will be getting production out of the PG spot.

Way too high. 18 would be closer.
