Wayne Chism has a sprained knee

Could have been a lot worse from what I saw. If he had blown out the ACL, we would have been doomed for the rest of the season.

Tony Jones was just on the radio and I don't think he mentioned it (although I wasn't listening very closely). So my guess is that it's not real serious.

Chism is sort of a Drama Queen, so when he is rolling around on the ground, I pay no attention to it. That is why we love him.

I've sprained my knee before. Hurt like Hell for first little while. Thought I tore ACL.
However, after some time, and putting a little pressure, it was bearable. Took a couple of weeks before I could really get full use again.

To anyone who said he was faking - I'll be glad to kick you in the knee and see if you don't wince in pain.

According to Hat, he was faking it.

Well according to the instant replay on TV it was very real and looked very painful... His knee went backwards for a second, to those with squeemish stomachs it would have done ya in!

Oh ya, I agree. I saw it happen and thought it looked awful. I just thought I'd pass along what our local know-it-all said about it.

How would he know when someone is faking it? He still thinks he girlfriend isnt... :eek:lol:

In all actuality, as long as Pearl is the coach, ANYTHING hat says about the b-ball team has to be taken with a grain of salt.

It looked awful on the replay. I was surprised to see him back in the game. Too bad knees aren't meant to bend that way. It would make tying shoes easier.

Sprained Knees can heal in a week or two. not real worried. We will have a spot in the NCAA regardless what some ppl on here say because we have the strength of schedule and we will beat two #1 teams this year. KY in Knoxville and Kansas. If not kY in lexington before the TBA game

I love it when people distort what I say. I said Wayne has a bunch of soccer player in him. Since the news today isn't that his leg is being amputated, my point stands.

So only injuries that require amputation are painful?

No, but acting as if you just stepped on a landmine is over the top for an injury that keeps you out of a game for all of five minutes. If I had ever seen Charles Oakley writhing on the floor like that, I would have assumed someone had entered MSG with a gun and shot him multiple times.

Will he be playing tomorrow? As sad as I hate to say it...we'll need him against Vandy.

Damn those damaged nerves. Always notifying you of potential injury, when all you really want to do is appear manly, like nothing is wrong.

You speak as one who hasn't hyperextended a knee. I wonder what you'd have said if Wayne hadn't come back in the game.
