It is sad a guy with his talent level over there playing. I cannot evaluate BB talent though, and maybe that is as good as he is.

Pretty sure he's been signed with them, but he is still participating in the summer league and if he were to get picked up by an NBA squad there is an out clause in his contract with the Turkish team.

Ah good deal, thanks for the info. Sacramento won't pick him up but hopefully someone else will give him a shot because has played well in the summer league.

It's good to have two opportunites. Can't complain about either. Making money doing something you love.

I know this thread is about Chism, but I still dont understand how Lofton hasnt atleast got a chance on an NBA roster. The kid can flat out shoot the ball from anywhere on the court with hands all in his face. It's crazy some of the shots he hits.

That alone, just isn't enough.

Prior to the NBA Summer League starting, an article in the paper on Chism said he had a six-figure offer on the table from a team overseas. Better than I thought you could get from overseas. I want in.

Not a bad back up plan, at a country's premier resort town.

does anybody know how much money they make in those leagues? A couple 100K?

maybe 100k... Idk about a couple 100k

edit: scratch that I googled it and found the average to be between 500,000 and 1,000,000. idk how accurate that is though.

I love Chris Lofton's offensive game as much as anyone, but (as NBA scouts are prone to ask) who can he guard? Would he guard Ray Allen or Rondo? Bibby or Joe Johnson (ATL)? Jameer Nelson or Pietrus or Redick (ORL)? Shannon Brown or Sasha Vujicic or (heaven help him) Kobe?

At this point, he is still somewhat of a defensive liability, which is the kiss of death in a one-on-one matchup oriented league like the NBA.

You can make millions in Turkey. Haha first argument I had on volnation. I stated that fact somewhat as an aside and was attacked for it.

I bet you can hold a grudge with the best of them.

When someone holds themself out as an expert on basketball and mocks me as an idiot for stating something factual I do remember it

Not sure if that is a grudge.
