I don't think it was filmed to end there really. I think they expected the series to be renewed. The series finale was thrown together at the last minute is my guess. The scene where they freed Pam, killed Pilcher, and then Pam and Kate have the bonding moment was all fluid and made sense. Jump to the scene where Ben wakes up in the hospital and the kids have taken over the town and there was absolutely no point to the three previous events happening.

The creatures were out of their element on an open street, they were distracted by prey and had multiple people with guns around them shooting them. Taking out quite a few of them isn't impossible. In the end of that particular scene though the humans did in fact lose.

What is epically stupid about the finale was expecting a fairly small group of kids who grew up with no computers, no internet, and pretty much no electronic devices to be able to not only penetrate the mountain but to be able to run such a technologically advanced facility. I mean, come on.

I agree with everything except the first part. It was actually intended to only be one season.

I was on Vaca so sorry for the late bump

The ending was good IMO. But at least give us some darn updates on the other characters. Is it assumed that the good guys (Kate, Pam) are now dead or have they been forced to go underground? Is it a war type scenario?

Obviously a ploy to get another season which is warranted I guess.

Just going to have to wait and see

All of the people(adults) that took over the mountain were put back into cryo pods by the kids. The kids took over the town and the story fast forwarded 3+ years. The only unknown variable walking around in the town now is the sheriff's son.

I just started watching this and ten mins in I'm thinking twin peaks. I loved it and thought it was great that Lynch gave ABC a big middle finger. I hope the new twin peaks if it happens will be what Lynch really intended. Best show ever IMO

How do you know the adults were put into pods? Are you guessing or did you read this in the books

Thanks, I had the kid w me so I missed that. I hope they leave it be and don't do another season. It's was ok but Bens story I have zero interest in

Didn't see that this was posted and I posted in in the Renewal thread.

There is some rumors I have seen online that since this was filmed in 2013 & early 2014 that a lot of the casts contracts have expired so Season 2 may look a lot different than the first season!

They said they'd continue from where they left off at the end of the final episode. Since they already killed off most of the main actors I don't see how it could be much of a good show anymore.

Idk how I feel about this. The suspense of not knowing what was going on, was what made last season interesting. What's left?

It was ok, it may have some potential. Jason Patrick has taken over as the main character, kinda shows how he ended up in WP. I hope the next episode is better but I'll give it a chance
