We all got caught up in the hype

And forgot how close this team was to entering this game 7-3 or even 6-4. We all just assumed we'd win. Watching other scores instead of focusing on the game. I'm sure the players were caught up in that mindset as well. That's on the coaches. Hopefully we'll regroup and win next week. Vandy will be fighting for bowl eligibility and I expect a dog fight.

Agreed-never underestimate the ability of UT to fail repeatedly in the worst ways

. Dude Vandy couldn’t beat Bama or Georgia actually they didn’t they got outscored like 110-7 this season by the both of them.

Ok you know everything. You're so wise. I guess you saw this one coming too didn't you Nostradamus? I appreciate your wisdom. The game is played for a reason. Go ahead and have yourself a brew and count the Vandy win next week. I'm sure you counted today before they played.

You ain’t kidding about checking other scores comment. I watched that Whole TCU game, the Michigan game, and the Ohio St game, under no other circumstances would I have wasted my whole day watching big 10 & big 12 garbage. Betcha I won’t next weekend.

How exactly did we get “caught up in the hype”?

Tennessee was 9-1, they beat Florida, Bama, LSU and last years ACC champ on the road.

They were the number 1 O and number 1 scoring O. They had 2 top 8 wins (no one had better). They had the #3 SOS and #3 SOR.

Beat the west champs in their house 40-13.


We didn’t get caught up in anything……..it was real.

They just got thumped. The D was by far the worst I have ever seen from any Tennessee team. I saw players not even trying at times. I say coverages not working but the DC not changing anything. I saw a guy who was having a terrible season having all day long in the pocket and making our soft zone look like a high school D. It was BAD

However I still didn’t get caught up in anything…….everything that happened before was real.

The vast majority of the D let the team down and most of the D coaches let the entire team and staff down!!!

you got caught up thinking you were better than you actually were. Pitt is not good this year and it took overtime to win, UF not good at all this year, Alabama had 17 penalties and a missed field goal to win, LSU can be good but you don't know which LSU will show up. UGA showed what a good defense and offense can do. UT was just a play or two away from having 3 or r4 losses but the ball bounced their way for most of the season. UT relied in their offense being their best defense and that was bounds to catch up to them and it did. It was still a good year but part of that good year is the rest of the sec is having a down year.

This is probably true. On a side note.. I'd bet the mortgage on Clemson to absolutely slaughter this **** team we got crushed by last night next week. Easy money..
