We all know Pete Carroll is a good coach or is He?

how about multiple phone calls between lake and mcnair, mcnair knowing bush was an "intern" at his firm, and a photo showing them partying together? edit: also how about a reporter directly telling a compliance officer that bush was taking money?

As was Maurice Jones-Drew.

Go read the report. The "evidence" is utterly laughable.

They may well be, but there isn't sufficient proof to warrant penalties the magnitude of which they received.

i've been to multiple SC practices. it's ridiculous to imply there wasn't a culture that encouraged the bush's of the world. pete forgot he wasn't in the nfl and SC paid the piper.

The athletic department and many of the coaches turned a blind eye in multiple sports, any coach worth their salt would have understood that what was going on was certainly going to draw the eye of the NCAA. The fact that they thought pleading ignorance stood any chance of getting them a reprieve is laughable. It is exactly why Pete bolted for the NFL, he knew what was going to happen and it would be a substantial penalty.

The worst hard evidence the NCAA gave is that USC was running too loose of a ship, yet they got penalties on the magnitude of schools who directly give money to recruits (recruits, not already signed sealed and delivered players).

And it likely will not be uncovered, but it is possible, maybe even likely, that money was in fact given to recruits. That would be almost be impossible for the NCAA to prove, but it isn't unexpected, for USC detractors and those who are living in the 21st century, and following college athletics.

I just love baseless accusations.
