Same can be said for a number of our players. It seems if he gets the minutes that he comes though. JMO
Defense. Also, despite tonight's shooting display, he has brought nothing offensively from what we have seen.
I couldn't disagree more. In his limited minutes, 44 for the season now, he has scored 22 points. That's pretty darn efficient.
He seems to make several impressive individual defensive plays, but his overall understanding of team defense is lagging behind. Perhaps he just needs some live playing time to improve that. With his offensive efficiency, I think we could tolerate him getting beaten on defense occasionally.
Disagree. I hadn't seen him shoot the ball like that last night. All his buckets were offensive putbacks or easy buckets near the rim.
Well aren't putbacks offense? Even better, they are offense AND rebounding. You said he had brought nothing offensively. I don't understand that. If you meant to say perimeter offense, I would agree. I don't think anyone could foresee him as a perimeter threat, but I think 22 points in 44 minutes speaks volumes. Perhaps if we had seen him more, we would know more about him.
And I'm sure there is a reason he's not playing.
If he continues to play like this, fantastic. Just don't believe he well.
And yes, putbacks are offense, but I was talking more about offensive skill in terms of post moves, shooting, driving, etc.
Obviously, there is a reason he isn't playing, but I don't think its his offense. He plays at a deep position and as we have stated, his defense is lagging behind. Perhaps his practice habits need work too, although having heard him in interviews, I don't see him as the lazy type. I think he suffers from playing at a position that is deeper than what we thought it would be before the season.
Before the game, I didn't see anything offensively from him. He shoots like that, then we got something.

I think the poster means Tennessee already has a great three man rotation in the post with Stokes, Maymon and Hall, if he returns. I don't think he was referring to Miller actually playing the three spot.
This is the question I have, no one one the team is registering one point for every 30 seconds he plays. Play him at the 3.
While I would like to see more of Miller and see what he can do. I see nothing in his game that indicates he can play SF. If he can consistently knock down shots, he gives UT a good 3 man rotation in the post and that's what's needed with Hall suspended.
