youre a few years late with this thread dude. CBP and CCM both have brought excitement (CCM seems to bring it late in the year though). elite 8 first time in school history with CBP while our football team is setting the other kind of records. you know, the detroit lion's kind of records

I think we are a women's softball school bc they play at higher level than the football and basketball school.

Umm it's a football school. But the excitement the basketball squad is creating is Awesome!!!!! At least we have a team with heart battling for the post season. We didn't have a coach who allowed that with football even though we had the talent!

We are a football school with a pretty good basketball program! (TWO pretty good BB programs!)

Our baseball team beat ETSU today, then the softball team beat Lipscomb & to top it off, the basketball team beats Florida!

I said its GREAT to be a Tennessee Vol!

What's wrong with being a football school which we are and being a bball school too? We will rise to the top again in football I truly believe. But hey I like to have cake and eat it to. Ill take a win over the jort wearing Gators anyway I can get it. I'm just glad to see both programs are in good hands.

Someone forgot about the Bruce Pearl years... There is a lot of excitement around basketball right now, and rightfully so, but we're still not back to the level we were at from 2005-2011.

Tennessee is and always will be a football school. We have one of the best stadiums, programs and history in college football at Tennessee. However, there is no denying that UT has been more competitive on the basketball court the last 5-6 years. While football may be #1, basketball is right underneath football. We also have one of the best arena's in college basketball. So I don't see why we can't support both in a big way.

i support both programs and coach martin, not sure about coach jones he's a used car sales man version of lane kiffin running his mouth which his resume doesn't prove he can back up especially with his greatest staff in america.
