We Are Better Than The Dawgs

I don't think GA can afford to get behind in this game. It doesn't seem like GA has the offensive firepower to mount a comeback against a good defense. If they start off slow like they did against Colorado and Ole Miss, they will get blown out.
If AF can mount a comeback against a "good defense" UGA is more than capable!

I don't know, I don't think that UGA is going to run the option and even if they did, they'd be hard pressed to run it as perfect as Air Force did.

I don't think it will be a blow out, but when we jump out early with the lead the dawgs will be hurting.

Georgia has gone up against: Colorado (114th nationally in scoring offense), Mississippi (111th), UAB (108th), South Carolina (80th) and I-AA Western Kentucky...and BARELY won two of those games. Meanwhile we spanked one top-10 team and almost (should have) beat another. There is no question who the better team is right now.

The Dawgs are better at D and Special teams. They main reason they are sputtering on Ofeense is the play of the receivers. If they start catching the ball we will have a game on our hands.

On D they have been having problems with Mobile QBs. Look for them to blitz a slower Ainge.

statisitaclly maybe...but their special teams have not been anywhere near where past UGA teams have been in that regard...lots of penalties, and two blocked punts against Ole Miss?

uncharacteristic for Richt's UGA teams. they have a good returner, yes...but they have been far from the group that could win games for him in years past.

...and haven't many, if not all, of their special team highlights this season came against Western Kentucky?

Yes, my favorite was the punt returner who threw the ball down before he got over the goal line.

Honestly I think we are going to blow them away. For all practical purposes the refs beat ol miss not uga. Uga allowed more rushing yards that they had. Uga lines looks worse that ours did and thats against one of the worst teams in the sec. They havent seen a offense that can throw all year effectively every game. We have shut down one of the heisemen contenders in running. Our oline came together and blew Memphis back off the line. We have among the top receivers and QB in the country. They have more that one bad qb remeber what that is like? We have had some bad d but compared to uga offense. cakewalk

no contest, we score more that enough to make up for any mistakes. While keeping their bad offense off the field. Make enough point to make them throw and a few ints our d gets least one TD!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO VOLS

Depends on the matchup. DL and OL UT is weaker. Passing game obviously UT is better. Different strengths and weaknesses on each team.

Overall UT looks better on paper, but as been already said, UT has been better on paper before and lost.

Same for us. The fact is that both teams usually come out fired up as all get out and bust heads for four quarters. This game is very rarely a blowout. Is it Saturday yet?

IMO I have no idea how this is going to turn out. If Ga's receivers wake up Saturday and decide to catch footballs UT could find themselves in trouble. The converse is true as well. without the threat of a running QB, I cannot imagine a poor throwing team lining up and running the length of the field on UT's defense.

If UT protects Ainge in the pocket it will be a long day for the Dawgs. It is much easier said than done.

I agree with all of that. UT has been the better team so far, but you have to think the GA offense will wake up at some point....let's just hope it is not this week. My main concerns are the lines on both sides of the ball. Has UT's Oline really progressed or was last weeks success just a result of playing a really bad Memphis team? I tend to think it is a combination of the two. You have to ask the same question of the Dline. UGA will have a long night if they can't run the ball....I don't think they want to give Ainge/Meach/Swain any more opportunities than they have to. I don't think you can cover them both (Meach and Swain) if the Oline gives Ainge any time to throw.

If you saw the recent Ric Flair-Mick Foley "I Quit Match," you have seen what this game is going to look like. Very physical, very violent. May the tougher team win.
