i'm happy all of you that think we're going to the nit are so bright. i wish i could predict the future like that !! this team wil go to the ncaa tournament, if we finish 9-7 in the league. # 1 schedule strength, 15 in rpi, etc. i really believe will duplicate what we did in the first half. that would be 5-3 also. oh, there i go predicting the future !!

The pair of Big East wins will be our saving grace if we finish 8-8 in SEC play. It would take an epic collapse at this point for UT to miss a 68-team field.

This. But I think we go 5-3 and pick up at LEAST one win in the SEC tournament. I could actually see us getting hot and winning that thing though.

We have 15 wins right now. If we win half the remaining games we will make it in. No way a 19 win team that is 16th in RPI and has #1 SOS doesn't make it in.

If we finish 19-12, we will not have an RPI of 16. The RPI is 21 after yesterday's loss.

It'd take a collapse and a half to miss it.

You guys are clowns. Do some research about what it will take to make the tourney before you start an idiotic thread like this.

I say, the way we are acting, we lose to KY, and win out from there. simply because they are so... I don't know the word for it. I have never seen a team like us. When we play 80-100% as good as we are, we are a final four team, no question. When we play 79-0%, we lose to charleston. We have a higher ceiling and a lower basement than almost team in the NCAA right now. Some teams are better, many are worse, but we have the largest disparity of any.

a 7-1 SEC Alabama team with 15 wins, that was projected in the ncaa tourney in Lunardi's predictions last week.... ISNT a bad loss. Charlotte, USC... those are bad losses

Bama is at best a bubble team though - I don't see them making the NCAAT because they certainly aren't going to finish as well as they have started in conference play.

As of Lunardi's bracket (today)... Alabama is an 11 seed Rising.. and TN is a 6 seed Rising

With their current RPI and SoS they will have to win the SECT - don't care what Lunardi says.

you may be right... just saying that if we don't get into the tourney it will have far less to do with losing to Al.. than it did losing to Charlotte, USC... etc.

A 20 win season and the West Championship puts Alabama in.

they should reach that easily. If they win at Vandy this week... the only game they should lose the rest of the way is @ Fl. That would put them at 22-8 and 14-2 In Sec play. Not that any of this matters really -

Feb 10 @#24 VAN
Feb 12 vs MISS
Feb 17 @ LSU
Feb 19 vs ARK
Feb 23 vs AUB
Feb 26 @MISS
Mar 1 @#19 FLA
Mar 5 vs UGA

I would have to look for the source, but Jim Calhoun said we were the most talented team they'd played all year. Without throwing this thread into a fury, I would have to respectfully submit that this is not Bruce Pearl's best coaching job.

Not Calhoun, the Pittsburgh coach--but that was a long time ago. What's been our biggest win since then--at georgia, I suppose.
