Even if we run the table the best we can land is 4th in the SEC based on scheduling .

No, given the current performance by OLine, we surely are not even in any conversation of making playoffs. Now, tis highly questionable that we beat Florida next week, make no mistake about that. A poor OLine is really devastating in Huep's system.

We win out, we will not be 4th, ever hear of sec titlegame?
We don’t play the top 3 undefeated teams.

TX - TXAm - LSU all play Arkansas.
Tx Am already beat ARK
TX am vs TX play the last week with one or both potentially still undefeated.

Even if there was a 4 way tie , we won’t get the nod over the 3 who beats Arkansas

It amazes me how poor the Oline is given how senior it is. I guess it’s true that the only thing Pruitt (yuck) left us was a good Oline. Now that his players are gone, the Oline sucks

If UT wins out they will be in the playoff. The 3 undefeated team can't all be undefeated. UT would only be 4th if the undefeated team loses SEC championship game to a one loss team. Hard to imagine a 1 loss UT team who beats OU,Bama and UGA not getting in. They need to worry about beating the Gators first.

If we win out, we are likely in the SEC Championship game. Not automatic, but very likely.

But...there's about a 0% chance we win out, so might as well not even discuss it. There's about a 99% chance that we lose 2 more games. 90% or better we lose 3+.

We simply are not that good. The DL, RB, and maybe LB are the only groups that I trust at the moment and are solid enough to win big games.

That leaves out the most important position on offense as well as the unit that protects the most important position. So not a lot getting done on offense.

On defense, if you play against a solid OL, the DL can/will win some battles, but if your secondary is no good, the DL can't dominate the whole game. The secondary has to be able to hold up. Milroe will hit plenty of deep shots when they play us. I hate to even begin to think what Vandys QB will do to us.

It's not all OL, opponent coaches are not stupid. They plan and scheme to beat our team. OU, it was remarked, that one of their focus was to tire out our big 300lbers. Despite the over-watered field, they failed. ARK's coaches had another idea, in the ebb and flow of the game, they managed to pull off a win. It really is that simply, though too many of you can't understand it, reject it, deny it, and whatever else to justify all the hand wringing.

Obviously Bama and Georgia are beatable, clearly everyone in the SEC are beatable (I guess we except Texas). If we're 10-2 at the end of the season, we're still in the playoffs. That got a lot tougher obviously with the loss on Saturday. I assure you, losing to Arkansas on the road is way better than losing to Kentucky at home, Vandy, or USCw in a neutral site. We're still fine. A&M still plays Texas and LSU. Georgia also plays Texas and Ole Miss. Bama still plays OU, LSU, and Missouri.

Everything will work itself out. It doesn't really matter if we get to the SEC title game, just the playoffs.

Thanks couch coach!

we have to hope that TX , LSU, TXam lose twice or at least lose to Arkansas.
TX am already beat them snd LSU and TX play them.
there’s a possibility of a 3 way or even 4 way tie at the top with a 1 loss team.
The top 2 SEC teams go to the SEC champ. The East / West doesn’t exist.
We can’t be top 3 if all those teams lose once to each other (like a round robin) and still beat ARK.
Arkansas was more important than people think. It ties us to the top 3 teams.

There are a slew of SEC teams that have only played 1 or 2 SEC games so far in an 8 game schedule. Way too early to be talking about who is going to be in the Championship.

Wow, do you really think those teams are going to run the table?

I doubt that even Texas will get through the league unscathed.

Vols have a lot of improving to do to even entertain us having a chance. But I would bet every penny I have that if Vols somehow won out (and I don’t expect it), they would be in the SECCG.

The league looks like it is going to be unpredictable this season.

Look at who plays who. We just don’t have any games where we can beat an opponent ranked higher than the top 3-4 moving forward. By the time we play GA, they would be a 2 loss team and we would only be the 4th best team

I’d bet you every dollar I’ve ever made (and every dollar I’ll make the rest of my career) that if tn runs the table and ends the regular season 11-1, we’ll be in the seccg and regardless of that outcome will make the 12 team playoff.

What if Tx Am , LSU , and TX end up with 1 loss? That’s a 4 way tie. Please explain how TN gets in with other 3 beating ARK ?
