if we lose don't come on here and start calling for coach's jobs or start with the "joe smith" stinks crap if we lose. We have the potential to play great and very poorly at times which can be the difference in a close game. I am just suggesting that all of you calling for a blowout need not come on the board and implode it simply because you were wrong.

This would never happen. The posters on Volnation are well reasoned, patient, and even tempered when things don't go according to plan.

Don't hold your breath man. They'll come on here and throw a temper tantrum, call for everyone's job, and throw all the players under the bus.

That being said, I feel a LOT better about this year's game than I did in 2012.

This is exactly why I try not to post after "subpar, fan expectation" losses. This place becomes completely detached from reality.

And it will be the usual suspects from the Hemhorroid Legion that only show up after a loss.

Hemorrhoid Legion? :eek:lol:

But, this is true. After losses, I see so many names on here that I've NEVER seen before. Everyone loves something to complain about.

So you are saying that just because UT has youth... poor play or especially coaching deficiencies should not be talked about?

I'm worried about the UT OL vs UF DL match up. I can see that turning the game. If not for that doubt, I would be very confident of a win. UF is a mess right now. They have talent but they are handicapped by a clueless HC.

Muschamp is in a similar position to Dooley in year 3. He's in a make or break year after hiring a coordinator to come in and overhaul one side of the ball. Also like Dooley there are signs he wouldn't need much to crack under the pressure. By and large when a leader goes into "survival mode"... those he leads fragment. (IIRC, some of UF's players have taken public shots at each other). Considering the public trash talk, it doesn't seem like Muschamp has a tight grip on his guys.

It all appears to be unraveling for Muschamp. That usually hurts a team on the field.

The key difference with regard to this game is that UF is still very talented on D which can keep a game close... which means it can hinge on a turnover or ST's play.

At what point do we get to expect to win?

Is this UF team as good as UGA or OU? If UT continues to correct mistakes and improve... going into UF at home... is it wrong to think its time for that "big win"?

We have played 2 teams MUCH BETTER than florida the last 2 weeks...
It is time for a win or it is time to say why not...Even Butch says youth excuse old.... this team is 4 games in together and at home....TIME TO WIN

When we don't have 21 freshmen in the 2 deep.

Well, win or lose, I think Joe Smith does stink. It's almost as if he's non-existent. Hasn't contributed a damned thing...don't know if it's his attitude or what...UT can run the table but I bet they don't get a damn thing out of Joe Smith for the rest of the season.

Yes. If our young team plays mistake free, we should win. But young players have a penchant for making mistakes. (See fumble by Hurd last week). Enough plays like that from our youth and we will lose to a very mediocre Florida team.

Im refraining from predicting a blowout. College football is very unpredictable now days. You cant say one player is so much better than another just because he is 5 star or 2 star. Arizona beat oregon last night with a below average team. I will not have a meltdown either way. GBO!

IMO that is unacceptable Sam

Ok. Then cheer for a team that doesn't have an offensive line consisting of nothing but freshmen and first time starters. If Florida plays up to their talent level for 4 quarters, we will lose this game. It is reality. And if that happens, the loss needs to be looked at rationally. If we lose for reasons other than that, then it will be time to be concerned. But a loss is not an automatic "burn down the city" catalyst imo.

I wont burn down the city...but if we play like we are capable...for instance majority of GA game..We should win...
I believe that our team...yes freshmen... are more talented than Fl.... that is my belief... I also believer our kids allegedly fight for their head coach and respect him much more than Fl does..... and we are at home...
all that says we should win... not look for excuses if we lose....

I agree with the majority of this with the exception of your opinion about the talent level. Florida has the athletes to be a great team. We've seen teams before that play like crap the whole season, and then it all gels the week they play us. I don't see that happening because it seems like an unsalvagable dumpster fire for Florida right now, but if Florida plays to their abilities, we will probably lose even if we play to our full potential as well.

this seems to be forgotten,if Fla can run in between the tackles,it could be a long day

we know Worley will be on his back most of the day,Fla will be looking for the screens and draw plays

the Vols can win it,but it is in no way a slam dunk at all

I can see the board blowing up,with a bunch of whinners worried about 1 game this year

to me it is still a big question mark on IF,they make a Bowl game this year or not
