We have reached a new low

Not only is it taking way too long to find a coach that wants the job it looks like no one in the athletic department is aggressively looking. I don’t think Hart has a clue what he is doing. Someone lock him in his office without a phone and send out a search committee. Good gosh man. :gun::bash::machgun::zeitung_lesen:

Translation: " I don't have the first d@mn clue about what I'm talking about.....please ignore me ".

It is because he is addicted to reading the Rumors and Speculation Thread.

the daily cliff notes page is a complete joke. One quote from a "source" will say "Charlie Strong has interviewed and feels good about his interview". The VERY next post will say "Charlie Strong has not interviewed at Tennessee and Tennessee has not contacted him yet".

It's idiotic, no one has a clue what is going on.

He gets paid a substantial amount of money to do his job. I assure you that he is working diligently. Relax, and take a chill pill.

I'm glad our fan base doesn't get to make major decisions

Right because they might hire some dumbazz like Dooley or whoever Hart hires next. He took a half hearted swing at a homerun, knowing he would miss and now is left with a list of shiv. That's what this has come to. The result will be UT in the toilet.

People keep saying the job is harder now than it was ten years ago, but I think that is just a big excuse. Sure, with Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina clearly above us at this time times are tough. And no school from the SEC has a tougher permanent non-divisional opponent than we have with Alabama. But people act as if we will be battling Vandy for control of the lower half of the division. Tell me that's not f'd up. If Strong or Fisher are scared off by that then we don't want them.

Bobby Petrino said he wanted a job about 10 times! Fulmer said he wants a job! Those are the best two available, everyone else has a job and will not leave for a rebuilding job.

Fulmer wants a job,but no jobs offered to him.what,4 years and counting.:):p:lolabove::dance2::rock:

Have people on here ever interviewed and accepted big boy jobs?

It's not a one day 'you want the job? YOU GOT THE JOB!' deal.

There's more to it.

People mistake no news for bad news. This internet now, now, now mentality is not a good thing.

Dont you think since all of the coaches we are looking at are sill coaching (for a bowl game) it's better to keep things quiet out of respect for their current program. Seems to me that's the right way to do it. There are 4-5 coaches that would make a good fit in a big time program and only 2-3 big time jobs. Why be so anxious?

You do know that posts like this make you look terribly stupid and immature, don't you?

It is NOT taking "way too long". Hart told you when he fired Dooley what the time frame was. Do you think some of the coaches being mentioned were really going to interview before their seasons were over? The ONLY guys you are getting prior to the end of the season are guys who aren't working like Kiffin or maybe an NFL assistant. I guess they could hire a coach who was finishing a losing season earlier if that's what you want.

BEST CASE SCENARIO:

Dooley fired a week earlier than anticipated.

Gauge interest among desired coaches- week 1.

Schedule interviews, do comparative evaluations, and wait for season to end- wee 2+.

Interview, perform final evals, make offers, negotiate, agree to terms- week 3+.

Agree 100%. By the looks of it, we are exactly where we should be. People confuse public quiet with nothing going on behind the scenes at their own peril.
