Gotta agree with op. This is the year for the gators skid to stop. They are coming off a terrible season and have to be a little "brittle" mentally. And we get them at home. Two programs going opposite directions as of now.

At this point, I'm almost conditioned to think that no matter how bad Florida is, Tennessee will lose to them by 2-3 TD's, because that's just the way things have been for a long time.

My hope is that this year is the year we go all 95 Vols vs Bama on Florida. Years of frustration spilling over to an azzzz whipping.

But just like in 95, until the clock hits zeros, I'm picking Florida. They've broke my heart as well as my wallet too many times in this rivalry.

So who do either of those teams have coming back that says we cant? Im not for the "we have to beat florida this year" threads because its stating the obvious whether it happens or not. And because it gets said every year like its the last time we will have a chance this century. I believe Florida loses Easley who, IMO, was the best DL in the country. Driskell is still their QB. Decent RBs but nothing like Gillislee was.


Georgia loses their record setting QB. Yeah they have Gurley but they may be one dimensional next year. Their defense is still suspect.

My Florida friends don't even call and talk smack anymore. They suck and still beat us.

We must win 6 games but one of them does not HAVE to be UF. Also they are going to be a better team this year. Bank on it. Not saying we can't beat them but it's not a necessity. We do have great talent coming in but as CBJ said these are 17-18 year old kids.

As bad as I want to stomp a mud hole in the Gators, the team we really should destroy is those piss poor crimson turds. Next year is our chance to really put it on them. Mark my words, bammer is going to be horrific next year, (like Dubose/Fran/Shula bad) and if we don't beat them at Neyland in 2014, then we only have ourselves to blame. They will have no proven QB, no O-line, a depleted, razor thin defense and D-line, no proven running backs, no proven wide receivers, no kicker, no punter. They have zero depth. They will be the Florida of 2014. They will go 4-8 and we had better not be one of their 4 wins. Everybody is blinded by the fact that they signed some bumbling bozo with hair like a 30 year old mop that wasn't even in high school and had to sign his letter of intent at a burger king or some sh*t. I didn't know that you could sign high school dropouts now? Leave it to that Barry Switzer wannabe, lil nicky to find yet another loophole. Bammer is awful. $aban sux and will probably be fired after they lose most of their games in 2014. I'm calling it now. Tennessee 31 bammer 6

Beating anyone in the SECE besides UK would be a nice change.

You are thinking tactically. Strategically it would be a huge step forward if UT can beat UF. It has been a long time and UT needs the recruiting credibility in FL.

UT does not return to championship contention without starting to beat UF on a regular basis.

This post has so many inaccuracies I don't know where to begin. QB is big question along with Kiffin, after that they are reloading. They have to be upgrading at kicker after graduating one of the biggest hacks in Bama history.

I'd take UGA, UF upset on a bet way before Bama...this year.
