We need OLINE bad

Robertson is really the only one that's special. Kendrick kyerbyson and weisman are just not that talented. Thomas is decent run blocking but his pass blocking even at center is still abysmal. Expect to see Jones hall Richmond boulware all maybe as early as next year.

And he is hurt. Anyone know the status of Robertson?

While I do agree we need improvement there were several times in the second half where Dobbs left the pocket without cause only to run right into rushing defenders. He is responsible for some of the pressure he felt IMO. One other thing, since we have some issues with the OL why do we hardly ever run slants? We have big bodied receivers that can shield the ball and break tackles and they are quick routes.I've been complaining about this for years. Lastly I'm a fan of taking most of the snaps from under center where play action can hold up the defense more than all this fancy misdirection that most teams don't seem to be paying alot of attention to.JMO

I do wonder why that Dobbs isn't under center,to me it slow down the running attack, the running back is standing in the back field, waiting for a hand off, instead of hitting it off the snap

of course I will freely admit that I'm no SEC coach at all, just an armchair coach :)

UT currently has just one committed Olineman for the 2016 class.

I know it's early, so back off.

Just wondering who, if any, would be next to commit?

Who is UT aggressively recruiting across the Oline?

This is by far a major need as well as linebacker.

I don't know that it's a major need. We've recruited OL pretty well the last couple years and have a lot of FR/SO in the 2 deep. I just think it's important to not pull a Dooley and abandon OL recruiting. 3ish players is probably all we need in 2016 imo.

EJ Price is the main OL we are in on. There will be others pop up soon I'm sure.

We are good at LB. We have 4* Bituli, 3* Hart, and 3* Blakely committed.

I watched the game tonight concentrating on Thomas. I just didn't see the basis for all the criticism. He missed 2 blocks in the 1st half against the nose tackle (Wade) and fell to the ground, each time blocking to the wrong gap. He missed his block late in the 1st half that lead to a sack. The 2nd half was pretty much the same. For his pass blocks, he stood up Wade and he protected well. As for his run blocks, I didn't think he got the push we might have wanted. On the running play at the 1 yard line just before the field goal, he got no push/ surge. While it could have been better, I thought that the result was good given it was a sophomore playing in his 2nd start at center. I strongly disagree with the harsh unfounded criticism directed at Thomas. If he was a Jr or Sr, I might have a bit different opinion.

2nd half was crap from center to rt tackle. I rwwatched it as well and way too many time people came through untouched. Its just pathetic. Atleast put a hand on them and slow them down
