We need to have a talk about Glen ...

Kind of torn here.
On one hand it's one player's thoughts on the situation...you obviously have to take into account position on the line, ask from the coach to play or not play multiple positions, talent level ahead of that player, incoming talent level, etc.
On the other, it is a highly regarded recruit and you have to wonder if there are others in that room that have the same feelings as well as the inconsistent line play and seemingly lack of growth during the season.
IF Sanders flips and others transfer out, or recruiting drops off for O Line guys, then I'm concerned as it leads to fire producing the smoke.

As far as second comment - THAT, in my opinion, is going to be Heupel's ultimate undoing here. He is going to hold onto a coach one or two seasons longer than he should have and it will be difficult to overcome in the long run.
One could take that he saw a lot of talent ahead of him and thought he would get more playing time somewhere else .

Big Ten football is about as exciting as watching soccer. I just don’t understand why anyone would want to play in the Big Ten with an opportunity to play in the SEC unless they are from the area.
C’mon now. College football is still college football. Just because I prefer Sam Adams doesn’t mean I’ll turn down Yuengling.

Soccer’s fun to watch as well, it just doesn’t stay interesting as consistently as American football, the game ebbs and flows constantly. Every once in a while, though, it gives you absolutely sublime moments that are unmatched in any other sport, save maybe baseball. If you could watch the world cup final from ‘22 and not be excited, you might need to check your pulse.

All of that said…yeah SEC >>> B1G. Why play in 1 or 2 premier matchups/big games a year when you can play in 4 or 5?

One of the fallacies here, which our fans fell prey too, and frankly CFB fans of all sorts fall prey too, is the idea that a bunch of guys who weren't real good the year before, are magically going to be much better with a year of "experience". With the exception of Cooper Mays, none of the current lot has ever impressed a whole lot. I think folks had overinflated expectations expecting the OL to suddenly be world beaters this year. The only way out of this is recruiting the right guys, hopefully we can hang onto to Sanders.
Campbell was a solid LT last year. Spraggins was a solid LG. THE OL as a whole has regressed over the last couple years and is terrible in pass protection. On top of that, we can't close any big time OL to make the situation better.

By the way UT's O-line is a finalist once again for the Joe Moore award, the award for the best O-line in college football. So i guess folks who obviously know less the VN posters think UT's o-lines have been pretty good the last couple of years. I guess they need to spend more time on this board so they can get straightened out.

I take your word for it on the soccer. I just don’t see it. Play all day and score once.

No one seems to be talking about Addison Nichols comments about leaving Tennessee, he said :"Coach Heupel's a great guy, a great coach and has a great program," "Couldn't say a bad thing about him. Definitely learned a lot through my time there, but at the end of the day, I JUST DIDN'T SEE MYSELF HITTING MY FULL POTENTIAL IN THE ROOM I WAS IN." Between those comments and hardly any development from his HS recruits and possibly losing Sanders Jr. to Ohio St. and the very average line play with upperclassmen this year ... Is it time for Heupel to quit being too loyal and fire Elarbee in the off-season ?

2025 is a key development season for Ellerbe with Anderson, Glinther, Heard, Lang and Satterwhite all needing to take big steps forward.

Has his potential increased at Arkansas? Asking for a friend

We are about to lose Sanders, maybe because he knows Elarbee won’t develop him?
No, it is 100% about who is going to pay him more of an NIL deal. He is trying to get a full blown bidding war started so he can get paid some stupid amount of money that no one deserves to play college football. Just take the restrictions off of going to the NFL at 18 and get it over with.

AP has said that it is being agent driven. Sanders agent is trying to squeeze every last dime out of whoever signs him.

Seems easy for kids to say something like that when they know the coach won't respond. Maybe this kid didn't put the work in during the off season, maybe he hated the weight room and did bare minimum. We will never know.
Happens all the time when players get recruited over.....nature of the beast. Hope he lands some place where he can play and feels like he is going to get better

Lots go into that, how fast did Hendon get the ball out vs how fast Nico or Joe got it out? How quick did the WR's get separation? How many blitzes did they face then vs how many now?

I don't seen an indictment of elarbee in these comments. It could have been a playing time issue, not a coaching issue. In fact thats almost always what causes players to transfer.

When was the last time Heupel fired any coach? From anywhere he’s been? Who was it? I sincerely want to know.

Or watch our games.
The ones we lost over the last 3 years usually start with poor O line play
