If Dooley hadn't let the team quit against UK.

So with that being said him going 7-5 this year is not an improvement in my mind as the schedule is substainally easier this year.

Hart said he needed to see improvement this year in order to keep Dooley. I just don't see it.

Honestly folks. If our D hadn't performed so badly we could be 2 or better wins up right now. The change in staff certainly has been tough on the team and our record. Just the facts, but Dooley is the HC and he's responsible which is also a fact.

Well since we're a year behind where we should be (i.e year 0) then maybe we will be 6-6 this year

The difference is Bray has played all season and the offense has had two dynamic WRs all season. Last year would have been 7-5 or 6-6 at worst without Bray and Hunters injuries.

Ok OP so if we are 8-5 with a bowl win is that improvement in your eyes?

Hart's decision will have to be made after the UK game. He cannot take the chance of Dooley laying a huge egg in the bowl game and ending the year at 7-6. After the bowl game it would be too late to fire him and not put us at a huge disadvantage in recruiting, so the decision must be announced right after the UK game, IMO.

Going 7-6 is unacceptable and is why 1 win in October was mandatory in my eyes for Dooley keeping his job.

Do I need to just copy and paste my question again? Because I think I need to re-ask

With a healthy TB and JH like this year we should have won 7 or 8. 8-4 with a worse schedule is no improvement.

In fact, if Bray had played against USC, rather than Worley, we would have beaten USC. Also, he Neal not fumbled the ball, while on the 2yard line, in the wild cat package, we would have beaten Ky.
Then our record would have been 7 - 5 and we likely go to the Music City Bowl game or another bowl game and play Pitt.

This season, we should have beaten 2 of the games that we lost "O Bama", USC, Florida, Miss State, & UGA.
Then our record this season is 9 - 3 then we go to a bowl game.

In 2010, we beat LSu & UNC, had it not been for the referee's and we end the season 8 -5, which is respectable.

Those small, missed plays cost us those wins and will cost Dooley his job.

Yeah I should've hit the lottery the last 4 times too...What is your point?...Can't change the past and obviously Hart doesn't care or something would've been done by now....He is going to wait around until this program completely tanks and then what?

UT went 5-7 last year and UT is 4-5 so far this year. They don't keep track of how many games your offense wins or your defense has lost. Our coach is 15-19 if that is acceptable then we are in good hands. If the number of timeouts taken due to having the wrong number of players on the field determined your ranking then Bama would be looking up at us! "We are what the stats say we are".
