It would definitely be a monument to stupidity and fear, but not sure why it's an indignity.

I think security at the border needs to be a part of the imagination reform. I don’t think anyone (in politics) has offered a solution I believe will work. But I keep hearing the wall would be some great injustice and I don’t understand how.

Border security is definitely an issue and a priority, I just think an incomplete wall is a child's solution that won't do anything meaningful to curb illegal immigration.

So you agree a complete wall is the obvious permanent solution?

Too much $$$$$$
Says who?

Our national debt is $21 trillion.

A complete border wall would be roughly $25 billion.

2018 National defense budget is $700 billion.

Using 3.6% of the 2018 national defense budget for permanently securing our southern border is the only logical solution.

Our security is "too expensive" yet we always seem to find creative ways to waste billions of tax dollars on foreign aid.

US pledges $10.6B aid for Central America, southern Mexico

I'm going to start start a Buy a Brick for the Wall campaign. For $50 your name goes on a brick to be set in the actual wall. Link to send money coming soon.
This is actually a good idea.... thank capitalism.... mush headed liberal

5:30 update and we're over $1 Million...up over $800k since I started the thread at 7:35pm last night. I am convinced our great Volnation members and Patriots have made a difference, Thank you and I'm sure when OUR Wall is finished you'll be proud to tell your grandchildren someday how you helped protect their future.

Just 5,000 more donations of a million dollars and you’ll reach your goal!!! Congrats!!!!!

+ maintenance.

It doesn't matter how it compares to the rest of our defense budget. The question is will we get $25b + huge maintenance costs worth of value.

It's a pretty standard rule of federal government to take the estimated cost and double it, so consider that.

Aid is also stupid

I agree that the wall weather incomplete or unmanned isn’t a complete solution and doesn’t address the whole problem.

A complete wall still needs to be manned as a national security issue as well as an immigration issue.

My guess is there is a high correlation between people who are giving to this and who follow Q.

I glanced at the details and conspicuously missing is how the amount given is going to be converted into actual government wall.

But even if that all is worked out, what's the most this would possibly build? 20 miles?
