Don't think we'll miss a beat on the DL either.
Vereen, Saulsberry, O'brien, Williams
Depth will continue to plague us for a while though.
2 more good classes.

Tru, But have you seen the guys CBJ has commited for next year. They are all 300 pounds and 6'5 or bigger. 2 OT's. 1 is 6'7 335 the other is 6'8 305. We got some big boys coming to block for Mr. Hurd and company. He has a whole replacement line coming in for our starters now. We will lose some experience but you can't doubt CBJ experience in working with offensive lineman, ASK ERIC FISHER.

How many 2014 recruits have signed LOI's?

Think about it guys, our current Oline is very talented but Chaney was more interested in them being better pass blockers then running lane pavers. I think our o-line next year is going to surprise everyone.

I know our focus is on Carl's Jr this week and I was angery as anyone after last week but vols fans lets be real about butch's foundation for 2014...

Beasts up front,
beasts in the back,
beasts up high,
beasts down low,
beasts over here,
beasts over there,
Bring em on in baby brick by brick GBO!!!!!!!

Next year... the Vols will NOT be better at every position. They'll have pretty much everyone returning on O that is not a starting OL. That's a good thing... but replacing your entire OL is not a good thing... EVER. I feel better about LT since Blair committed though.

The DL simply is not likely to get better right away. UT will replace 6 of the first 8 down linemen. Sapp and Brewer are playing better than their replacements are likely to play as first time starters. This group definitely looks better however if AJ does not go pro and Maggitt returns from his knee full speed.

The secondary should be better.

The team overall gets younger. That will hurt. The team overall may be thinner with talented, experienced players.

I feel better with the addition of a guy who looks like a true SEC caliber LT. I think they will be good. IMO, Crowder is a wash with Stone. Jackson is a wash or a tad better with Bullard. Tiny is better than anyone who replaces him as are James and Fulton.

There will be an overall drop off in athleticism but they'll have a full year in the O and some of the back ups DO play more aggressive than the starters.

It will also help immensely that the top two returning TE's will have another year of experience and development. Branisel and Downs could be a VERY good duo of TE's.
