I’m finding it hard to even want to watch the game to begin with. Chattanooga was fine to get a tune up game I get that, but I have no desire to waste a week seeing us beat up on another cupcake.
Lame.I wouldn't care if we were playing a pee wee league football team,I'd still be watching the Vols and hoping for a rout.
Besides we'll have plenty of challenging games this season

Due to the hurricane coming up from the gulf, it looks like Saturday could be a rainy/stormy day and night. Let's hope the forecast gets better....definitely don't want them to play on a wet field and increase injury risk.

as of 2pm Tuesday
Saturday
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8am and 2pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Saturday Night
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

The weather?

There's gonna be an Volquake, Volquake, Volquake.
You gonna feel the ground shake, ground shake, ground shake.
There's gonna be a Volicane, Volicane, Volicane.
With lots of raging wind, and pouring rain.
When it's all said and done, said and done, said and done.
Long after we have come and gone, come and gone, come and gone.
You will never be the same. Never ever be the same.
Cause there's gonna be a Volquake, a Volicane, wind, and rain.

And this concludes our weather report.

Will be driving up Friday from Middle Tennessee and returning late Saturday night. Is rain predicted for both days and is it supposed to be better by kickoff?
Do you not know how to check weather on your phone

Wednesday 2:29 Forecast for Knoxville Saturday night and weekend. The big issue is "chance or occurrence of lightning/thunder within ten miles". I've seen games take a long time with one delay getting over. A wet ball can also be a field leveler as both teams have to play with a wet and slick pigskin. Might want to do some wet ball work before Saturday night. I do not want to see any more injuries!

If it rains we will be running the ball for over 200 yds. If it does not rain we will be running the ball for over 200 yds, don't see much difference.
We should run for many more yards than that against their defense. That would be a some what disappointment if we ran for only 200 in rainy conditions.

Reminds me of back in the day downing a long neck at the Long Branch on the strip.... Where did all the time go??

GO VOLS!!!
I spent many nights in small bars listening to small bands drinking a long neck Bud in the 70s. Good times!

These days it’s quiet evenings and whiskey.

Kent State might just be the worst team to ever play Tennessee. We have no business playing a team like this.
We basically paid for an extra bye week. I don’t see any benefit BUT we can try some young guys at a few positions like safety and see what they’ve got. I like the idea of giving our young secondary a little more time to come together as a team BUT I get what you’re saying they see better competition in practice.

Let our third team/scout team run Oklahomas offense and defense all this week.

A little off subject, but the rain has been mostly taken out of the Saturday forecast, as of Thursday:
