We got some pretty good collegegames coming up this week...plus the NFL Kicks off this should be football lovers dream.

OU/Miami - two powerhouses that havent played since the 85' national championship.

Vandy/Bama- Now these are two of Ut's bitter rivals, and I want to break my T.V. when Earl Bennett is talking but the dude is heck of a ball player and I got to hope the Dores pull off the upset

Uga/Scar - They have had some entertaining games the past couple of years this one should be no different

ND/Penn State- May not be very good at all but the Irish are gonna win a couple of games there not supposed to so you never know

UCLA/BYU , UT /SouthernMiss, Auburn/South Fla.,

Texas/TCU- TCU is alot better than Arkansas State

And the biggie Va Tech/LSU

The Saints & the friggin Colts on Thursday what a week

I noticed everybody makes a single thread for each game so I thought I might just rollem all up into one.

Ill go ahead and call 2 upsets South Carolina & TCU will pull it off

I would LOVE to see Vanderbilt take down Alabama.....That would make this weekend GREAT!

Miami and OU will be a good game, we'll see what Canes are made of early this year

Va Tech will get killed by LSU if they play like they did against ECU....But it will tell us alot about both teams early...LSU kind of has a juggernaut in the next couple weeks with this game and Auburn back to back....They win these two games nobody in the West willl come close to beating them

We're only favored by 4 points over Vandy and I'm gonna bet the house on Bama! I mean trailer.

Mike Shula beat freakin' Vandy last year and I see no reason why Nick won't be good for another 17 to 21 points.

I think a wiser bet would be Missouri +7 vs Ole Miss. Take the Tigers.

Im not much of a gambler I only bet on Hawaii games

actually it's why there are winners...
always go with the trends and you'll win 80% of the time

AHAHAHHAHAHA

This shows you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Trends over 20 years mean nothing. Trends over 10 mean nothing. The only trends that mean anything are when the coaches are the same over the trend years.

And nobody, NOBODY, wins at an 80% clip. The highest sustainable long term win% in sports betting is around 58-60%. Read an effing book.

I agree. Bama BIG.

CalL me a homer but Cal only being favored by 14.5 against CSU looks way too low. This is a team that lost to a horid Colorado team with a freshman qb. People are thinking letdown game, but after arizona last year I'm thinking our guys wont let that happen (until we win 6 or 7 in a row and they get cocky).

I also hear going with the hot shooter in craps is a good strategy. And if black comes up more than 3 times a row in roulette, red will definetly show up next.

Vandy/Bama is always close, especially in Nashville
and this is the best Vandy team in 20 years

There's people that win 75-80% of their games.
I know people that go a whole year and only lose a handful of games.
It happens.
Some people do actually make money.

I make money.

And those people don't win that much. They don't. Books have been written about highest sustainable win %s in sports betting. 58-60%. Either you or the people who tell you, are lying. Period.

Just some things about Bama/Vandy:

1. Of course, any outcome can happen. Vandy could win the game by 7, Alabama could win by 14. But with sports betting, you bet the biggest edges you see, and much like poker, you worry more about your thought process than the outcome.

2. The last 4 Bama/Vandy games:

2006 - Alabama 13, Vanderbilt 10
2002 - Alabama 30, Vanderbilt 8 (in Nashville)
2001 - Alabama 12, Vanderbilt 9 (in Nashville)
2000 - Alabama 28, Vanderbilt 10

So, they don't play every year, and 2 of the games have been blowouts, including 1 in Nashville, where you say it's always close.

A game between Woody Widenhofer and Dennis Franchione has no bearing on this game. None.

I don't know if we will beat Vandy by two TD's but I really believe that we will win by more than 4 pts. Our D is much worse than in the past 4 or 5 years but our O is much better. I think we'll win with a score around 31-24. I think we will have had a bigger lead but will let Vandy shave it down to a just a TD or so late, but we still cover. I hope!

I can't verify that, but I'm pretty sure that in '97 I lost 80% of my games.
