Tidbit from Office Space ..... Swingline didn't make a red stapler before the movie. The one in the film was painted red. In response to the popularity of the movie they began making them and they became a top seller.Office Space made $2m at the Box Office and went onto become one of the top 5 selling home movies all time.
it may just be me, but the darker themes in batman always drew me in more so than other super hero lore.Probably too much to type here, but if you ever get a chance to look up what went wrong with the 80's-90's Batman franchise (Batman through Batman and Robin), it's a fascinating story.
A true lesson in greed and too much oversight. Also really disappointing to see where that franchise could have gone if Burton had been able to live out his ideas. They were going to keep getting darker and more "adult" as time went on.
I don't think you will get much argument there. The Batman-verse has the best lineup of villains. The most charismatic, complex and dangerous.it may just be me, but the darker themes in batman always drew me in more so than other super hero lore.
I always felt like most other villians in other franchises weren't bad enough to end the world/city whatever. but those in batman always hit a little harder to me, and definitely felt more like villains than the others did.
Hanks wasn't sure what to do with the accent and they also didn't wanna have to deal with the kid copying whatever Hanks came up with, so Hanks just copied the kid's natural accent and speaking cadence.Forrest Gump.
Tom Hanks did most of the running in the movie. He actually did a lot of running. However, for the long-distance run shot, the director actually used Tom Hanks' younger brother Jim, who was quite a runner. It helps when brothers look alike - the director didn't have to bother finding a movie double for Tom.

There’s a lot more than that. The groundskeeper played by Charles S. Dutton never existed. Also, the story about Rudy being picked on by his older brother Frank and his other older brother beginning a relationship with Rudy’s ex is also completely false. In reality, Rudy was the oldest son in the family, and his parents and siblings were totally supportive of him chasing his Notre Dame dreams.Rewatchables just covered Rudy....
I think everybody knows the jersey scene didn't happen and that Rudy got a controversial sack.
I did not know this, but Joe Montana said Rudy getting carried off the field was a joke. It wasn't serious. They were happy for him, but it wasn't the team, it was a couple pranksters doing it tongue in cheek.
Also, Coach Devine is portrayed as a dick to Rudy and that's how he's remembered even tho he was good to Rudy IRL
And Rudy's done prettyuch nothing but embarrass himself since the movie.

Another good example of that, but released in 2000, was "The Legend of Bagger Vance." It starred Will Smith as the title character. The cast also included Matt Damon and Charlize Theron.
I'm torn on Freeman in Shawshank. I can't think of anyone else in the role but in the book the character was a dude of Irish decent, hence the "Red" nickname. They even added an in joke when he's asked about his nickname in the movie
