Weird Feeling about LSU...

Would be fun though watching all those Big Blue fans selling their tix! Conference tourneys are weird things and anything can happen. That being said Cats by 15.

I am sort of on edge about the Vols game tonight...concerned about us showing up fully. But, I have this weird feeling that LSU may upset the Cats tonight. LSU will need it a lot more than the Cats and I just don't see Kentucky focusing on this tourney...thoughts? (aside from me being crazy and delusional)

Weird Feelings are weird.

Very unfortunate choice of words OP. Good thought behind in that there is great speculation as to when UK's run is going to end.

My guess is that will not happen against LSU. The Vols beat them on their floor when they needed the win as badly as us. It especially don't look good for LSU after UK has been able to rest while they had to play yesterday. UK's second teamers are better than LSU first teamers and they will get to see all of them the whole game.

We don't need for vandy to get knocked off. We need to beat them for the jump in rpi, even with a win over vandy its going to be close with our rpi.

2 wins and we are in regardless.

For the rpi guys, with the win over MSU and if GA beats Vandy, will their rpi be under 100? If so, that takes a bad loss off our record.

I have a weird feeling that this thread will get bumped at the conclusion of the UK-LSU game in order to further mock the OP.

Someone on here last night said that win over MSU put UGA at 98. Not sure if it held up.

At the moment it looks better but if Vandy handles business as expected, Georgia will fall back into the 100s.

I'd MUCH rather Georgia beat Vandy because

A.) it keeps them under 100
B.) easier for us to advance to the championship.

Of course a UT beatdown on Vandy helps but at this point, I don't think it matters and I'm more concerned with matchups to keep moving on then a couple of points in the RPI.

Anthony Davis doesnt even have to try and he will still be the best player on the court vs LSU. No chance for the tigers. UK doesnt go down till Syracuse.

But I will say, Hamilton will bring Davis to the perimeter away from the rim, so that may open the lane up LSU.

I don't agree. Davis is the best player every night, yes. But Syracuse will lose in the sweet 16.

Not so fast my friend. The 2-3 is suppose to be UK's weakness and the Cuse have equal athletes if not better. Fab Melo is a freak.

You're buying into the myth generated by the uneducated masses. UK's weakness is not a zone, they just don't HAVE to shoot it behind the arc a lot, because they have the athletes to get to the rim time and time again. They have the shooters to extend the zone far enough to get Gilchrist and Jones the ball in the middle. Melo is nothing special. Given their propensity for early exits and on the opposite side of the bracket from UK, I don't know if Boeheim will get the chance to try.

The Big East as a whole was down this year, and there were several games they skated by for wins due to the ineptitude of other programs, not their own merit.

Seems like every yr or so a kid comes from Hopkinsville KY that UK didn't want yet they seem to be real good. What's the deal with UK and that area?

I guess what I meant was not jus the area but Mr. Basketballs from within the state in General. Chris Lofton, Hopson, Hickey (LsU) and a few others I have seen. I hear High School ball in KY in general is very good regardless of classification. To get that award in the state is highly regarded.
