Welcome Home, Mike Keith

What happened to David Keith? He made that awful movie in Knoxville after Officer and a Gentleman and then just disappeared. He dated a Vol cheerleader for a while. Don't know if he married her or not
That blonde chick really screwed him over in An Officer and A Gentleman. Richard Gere was right to call her the c-word.

David Keith was in an underrated movie after Officer, called The Lords of Discipline about The Citadel.

Just looked it up. He married a Knoxville real estate agent and still lives there. Don't forget Buckaroo Banzai, another awful movie he made. It had a rape scene in it that was very disturbing. He did wear Vols gear in the film though

You are leaving out his greatest role as Harry Meade in "Take This Job and Shove it." I lost all faith in the Academy Awards when he was not even nominated for Best Supporting Actor for this role. The soundtrack should have won an award as well.

Seriously, if you haven't seen the cinematic masterpiece, it is on Youtube.

I used to work with David Keith, We both worked together in a little deli in Shelbourne towers in the very early 1980's...He was doing some plays and stuff at the Clarance Brown theater at the time and I remember him audtioning for several films including Officer and a gentleman and remember how excited he was when he got the part...He was a good guy and we would go out drinking now and then and carried each other home more than once lol...Good times!
