I love this banter. Mostly because I think there should be a reminder about what Lewis has done off the field amidst his ongoing coronation.

But I also love Shannon Sharpe ripping Bill Belichick and Suggs following suit. People speaking the truth about some of the more detestable figures in sports.

You mean 12 years ago for something he wasn't even charged with and the two men who were charged were acquitted? Okay.

Why rip Belichick. He met with the media after the game like he's suppose to. He doesn't own Shannon Sharpe anything.

Doesn't matter how long ago it was. And he was acquitted because he agreed to rat out his homeboys. What a stand-up guy.

And if you think Welker's wife came off as bratty and shouldn't be talking because she doesn't play the game, then there's no excuse for Belichick. Talk about acting like a brat.

They weren't found guilty, so it's obvious that the "ratting" out didn't work. It looks bad because a wife shouldn't be ripping other players after her husband and team lost a game. It looks lame.

Again, what does Belichick owe CBS? Oh wait, that's nothing. Imagine your reaction after a UT loss, then put thousands of thousands of hours into your life with that, and then we'll see who you want to talk to.

then don't opine after your boy drops a couple balls and you get your ass handed to you at home. It's something a little kid or little brat girl would do.

Like I said, she was opining about his personal life. Not the game. And it's relevant the way Ray Lewis is canonized. He's a good linebacker. Doesn't make him a saint. He's far from it.

Yeah it looks bad. Doesn't make it untrue. Ray Lewis wasn't involved just like Michael Jackson never touched little boys.

Mike Smith had his guts ripped out 3 hours prior and had no problem talking with Fox. I guess he hasn't put thousands and thousands of hours into it. Plus it's not like he hasn't been there before. All losing coaches do it. It's just another example of what a prick Belichick is.

If the two guys he "ratted on" were found innocent, then what did he really "rat" about? Does just telling the story of how they didn't kill two people constitute as "ratting them out"?

So you found overwhelming evidence that they were guilty? Or you just making the assumption that a black guy from the hood was involved in a murder? I don't know if he did or not. But not only did the Atlanta police drop all charges except obstruction of justice, they found the two people charged innocent also. That, to me, is good enough to come to a theory that he did not kill them.

Alright, and that is Mike Smith. Belichick didn't want to talk to them, and I have no problem with it. Sure he's a prick, but trying to say what he did is wrong is reaching.

"Proud of my husband and the Pats," Burns Welker wrote. "By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids, 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"

Wes Welker's wife rants about Ray Lewis' past on Facebook

I can maybe understand the role model idea, but what do any of those things have to do with whether or not he is a Hall of Fame player?
