Kirby has recruited well, but apparently it takes more than that to beat an elite team like the Tide UGA is probably closer than anyone else in the conference. The defense is legit and good enough to hang with anyone, including Bama. But to beat them, you have to be near flawless. Until anyone else in the East gets as many playmakers on offense as Bama does, they are gonna continue to dominate the conference. An elite qb is a must today, and UGA hasnt shown that they have one.As much as I'd like to think UGA lost because of favorable calls and no-calls on Bama's receivers, I can't. Same old story. UGA looks good for a half then Saban adjusts at halftime. UGA won't beat Bama as long as Saban is there.
they would but he is at Ohio St nowKirby has recruited well, but apparently it takes more than that to beat an elite team like the Tide UGA is probably closer than anyone else in the conference. Kirby, IMO, is actually a below average gameday coach and decision-maker. That issue arises quite frequently in their losses, but a discerning eye can see it even in their wins. Going for it on 4th and 1 from his own 30 in our game, for example, was an incredibly dumb call. The fake punt in the SECCG was an incredibly stupid call. After the South Carolina loss last year, he strolled into the presser and said they lost because the defence didn't force enough turnovers, but his own offense (specifically his QB) committed 4 of them. I thought that was such an odd takeaway from that game, and clear evidence he might still be thinking like a DC, not a head coach. It's like the inverse of Big 12 coach speak, where they'll score 60 points but pin the blame on a final drive INT that was their only turnover of the game.1) Alabama proved that was a lie.
2) They had one but âthe good ole boy systemâ ruined that.
3) I donât think they can beat Clemson
4) When it comes to big games, clutch situations, and coaching Kirby canât do it. Heâll never get them over the hump. Which is why Iâve always said if you want to know how good a coach is see what he can get out of kids who arenât naturally gifted. He relies heavily on the gifted rather than his coaching.
Georgia matches up well with Bama except for the Qb and the Wrâs speed. Pretty even everywhere else. Georgia probably has a slight edge in the Def. front 7. Alabama has an edge with Harris at Rb.Officials were letting them âpush offâ because both teams were playing physical. UGA DBs should have been called for way more PIs & holdings than they were. Officials will let teams play how they want to play if both coaches more or less agree on it. In this game Kirby thought UGA could out physical Bama, he was wrong.

If I was a Georgia fan and a game comes down to an in-game coaching decision, I'd be real nervous.

Agree. Not gonna beat the best with a 3rd/4th/5th string qb. He's a good kid, but he aint growing 6 inches before the SECCG. I stand by Dawg defense is elite. You have to be a hater to deny that. Bama/Clemson/2019LSU offense is elite too. Fans of this board should know you can't turn the ball over and give away free TD's and expect to beat a great team. UT defense is good/above average. Offense? Meh. The result is what happened vs KY Saturday afternoon.Nope.
He's good enough to beat everybody else in the conference but it takes a little more to beat them.
