Congrats OB... I'm sure you'll be a great grandfather.

Many, many years ago
when I was twenty-three,
I got married to a widow
who was as cute as she could be.

This widow had a grown-up daughter
whom my father would soon bed.
and quickly fell in love with her,
so the two did later wed.

This made my dad my son-in-law
and changed my very life.
My daughter was my mother,
for she was my father's wife.

Father's wife then had a baby,
who brought them lots of joy.
And he became my grandson,
for he was my daughter's boy.

My wife is now my mother's mother
and it makes me blue,
Because... although she is my wife,
she is my grandma too.

If my wife is my grandmother,
then I must be her grandchild
And every time I think of it,
it simply drives me wild.

For now I have become
the strangest case you ever saw,
As the husband of my grandmother,
I am, in fact, my grandpa!

First I thought "poor kid".

Then I glanced at his location and breathed a sigh of relief. Haven't been to Arkie in ages. Wait, she is in Arkie too, right?

Finally I realized this is the beginning of a symbiotic relationship. You'll spend a few years on diaper duty now, and in the future, he/she will get to return the favor for you.

My wife had our daughter from a previous relationship. I adopted her after my son was born. She wanted same last name as her mother and brother. Her bio dad is a pos.

She is 20 and my son is 11.

That's awesome.
I salute you sir! :salute:

My daughter is pregnant. We have known for awhile but today she had her trip to the obgyn and it's confirmed. Looks to be a boy. Due date of July 4th. ( obgyn's are busy right now-hence the delay)

Wife has already been shopping for Vol gear for him to wear.

Kind of a shock for us but excited none the less

I thought you had young kids?

But you do live out in Arkansas.... :)

Yes she's in arkie too. Was raised right. ( all vol) the little one will be my new challenge. To keep all the sooner and arkie fans from corrupting him.

Diapers? That's woman's work. No matter who is wearing them. :)

I believe you are correct gramps. Won't be long now, you and I will be sitting on the front porch sitting in rocking chairs telling lies

:)

Congratulations to you my dear friend. I know you will be so thrilled at the sight of the new arrival you'll probably pee all over yourself so you need to start wearing "depends" now. I'm late to this party. It's because I hardly come into the pub zone. But when I saw your screen name I just had to see what's up. Way to go man that's just great news & thanks for sharing that with us.....your brothers in VN.

Thanks guys!

I need help though. I can't get my head around being called gramps, papaw, etc.

I'm only 39- way to young for those names IMO.

Look at the brightside. You will probably be around for Great Grand kids.

I'm 36 and my oldest is 2. Doubt I see the greats.
