You should give it a try. The writing is as good as the animation is bad.

while it didn't do much for talking about soceity and the problems of the world, my personal favorite was in season 2 when they had the lesbian substitute teacher and all the boys fell for her, not knowing what a lesbian was.

When they were sitting at Cartman's house literally licking the carpet because they heard that's what lesbians liked to do, I was rolling.

South Park is completely different from Beavis and Butthead. It has it's crude elements, but at times the satire is brilliant and overall the show is a lot more sophisticated than it gets credit for.

Hell I'm 47 and dont watch a lot of tv. Sports or history channel or TCM. Well I'm forced to watch American Idol lately to appease the Mrs. I watch it when I can. Missed 2nites episode. Are the new ones coming on now?

my dad used to love South Park. When I was in HS and college living with them (cheaper than dorms and Milligan wouldn't let you live on your own off campus), we would actually sit and watch them together.

they show the re runs at like 9 or 9:30 through the week

and for what it's worth, there may not be a single joke you feel comfortable telling in public but Team America: World Police was absolutely hilarious. I even enjoyed Baseketball.

I think they're on at southparkstudios.com or something like that. I wasn't too impressed with tonight's episode though. It usually takes them a few shows into each run to get going so I'm hoping for/expecting better ones.
