Because I think this team thought they were better than they actually were. I think we are a top ten team but probably not top 5, at least not right now. When ranked #2/3 seems they can’t handle the pressure.
It can make them more humble, and make them feel they have more to prove after falling in the polls.

Polls are just opinions anyway, It only counts how you finish the season in the tourney.

Polls have a legitimate impact on tournament play. They determine the level of competition you'll see, especially in the first two rounds. As far as it only counting how they finish the season, I couldn't agree more. Thats the main reason I've lost almost all faith in Barnes.

Yeah. It was only the second time in 35 years he has won a conference tournament. Then we got knocked out in the second round as a 3 seed.

Yes, I think that's why Barnes was so upset about it. ZZ would have been the one they would have inbounded the ball to late. He is our best clutch FT guy. He don't foul out I think we win.
