I would love to see another coach in here, but it's not because our current one can't recruit. Recruiting is the one thing he and his staff have always been able to do for a team in a state that doesn't produce very good D-I talent on a regular basis. Name a team who had to bring an entire new offensive staff and recruiting didn't suffer.
Alright let's go over this. 2006 we came off a 5-6 season which equals a bad signing class. 2007 we had the #3 class in the nation and no one was worried then. 2008 was strictly a needs class and we could still end up a top 25 class. No matter, classes according to rivals mean nothing. Getting them on the field and producing is what counts. Next year we will prob have another killer class and everyone will be fine again.
Wow your really optimistic So, if we have a year like this past year everything will be ok?

I don't know about entire offensive staff, but Auburn replaced their Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator and they seem to be doing pretty well. Seems like we are losing recruiting battles to them. Our recruiting was way down for the year already before Cut, Trooper and the others left. I think it hurt us on a few recruits, but I think this was going to be a down recruiting year for us anyways. I am not so sure some of the coaches put in the effort before they left that they normally would have, because they knew there were going to be some changes.
Who have we lost to Auburn? Savage...his mom is a huge Auburn fan. No surprise there. And we have a very good chance of landing Enrique Davis, a player who left Auburn because of problems stemming from coaching chances.
You don't recruit by positions. Certain coaches take areas and recruit all the players in that are regardless of position. It definitely hurt the offensive recruiting more but to say it shouldn't hurt defensive recruiting is foolish. Trooper was probably one of the main recruiters for a lot of those players down in Florida, Georgia, SC, etc.Recruiting shouldn't be suffering on the defensive side of the ball. Staff changes would be a poor excuse for this especially on the other side of the ball.
You see vols kick nuts. I just don't get that. There was no turnover on our defensive staff. Those players know who they will be playing for. That excuse pretty much sucks. I understand about certain coaches recuiting certain areas. But if you know the people are going to be there as your coaches it shouldn't matter. You don't recruit by positions. So you are saying that losing your primary recruiter and our overall recruiting coordinator won't hurt? That is f'ing stupid. You see vols kick nuts. I just don't get that. What the he... ll are the rest of them doing. You telling me we have one guy going around getting all of our players. That sounds stupid. What the he'''ll are they doing. When super trooper left for puke state someone should have jumped right in on those guys. Saying losing a ego maniac, chest bumping baffoon ruined recruiting. In my opinion is stupid. So you are saying that losing your primary recruiter and our overall recruiting coordinator won't hurt? That is f'ing stupid.
