I agree...we are back to the Buzz-O'Neill-Wade-Jerry years... dust off the black curtains... I've went to 2 games this year and it was a pain to watch both times... NO MORE! ..i'm done.. unless it gets better and i don't see that happening with this staff .

Noticed the seats were peppered tonight also. As attendance starts to fade so will TV appearances and preseason tourny invites. Sad.

Me saying I'm tired of being crappy at every sport that matters is an understatement. I am severely pissed off and aggravated and any other word you can come up with, with our men's athletics right now. I'm tired of being patient with the football program, but I'm gonna have to be this upcoming year, once again gonna have to be patient with the basketball team since we don't have maymon and once again have to wait till next year. Patience for the baseball program. I'm so DONE being patient...I want to win NOW. I know it's just sports, but Tennessee sports is a big thing in my life and I'm aggravated with our men's athletics right now. Thank goodness for women's basketball and softball. But even in women's basketball we aren't who we once were. And all you ever hear about women's basketball and softball is no one cares about them. I am a huge fan of the softball program, the only athletic right now at UT that has a chance to win a national championship anytime soon, but I really want an athletic that people pay attention to on a regular basis at UT again. It's seriously so hard to be a vol fan right now. But I'm a true fan and will be a vol till I die. Ok depressing rant over.
/

Im with you but for some reason so many vols fans feels it OK to sux As long as u sux on the jock of the coach blindly even if he is losing..

I wish more fans would understand that tn. Is bigger than any coach n if u sux early on its OK to call it a spade... quit loving the person n love the outcome. These guys r being paid big bucks so if they don't perform tn should move on.

The.problem is our ad n chancellor doesn't really care about winning they only care about their egos n the only way to change it is to hurt them financially n that's the only vols fans Will get their attention

I love tn not any of the coaches:peace2:

Its time for a revolution volnation... :salute:

Well when you leave a coach with mcbee and hall...than yeah it is. Yemi just started playing basketball and is better than 4 star Hall. Pearl should have looked at talent, not stars!!

Pearl could.beat Martin with his recruits and beat Martin with Martins recruits LOL

Martin will get one more year at the minimum. If he can't make the NCAA tourney next year barring major injuries to multiple players then he will be fired.

Get out the whiskey you put up after football season. You're going to need it.

Everyone knows my feelings on martin, but yes next year he has to do something obviously.

I'm willing to give a guy at least 3 years unless he just loses every game or the team looks horrible every game or he commits a felony.

Next year he'll have no excuses. For his sake, I hope Maymon can come back from his injury and Stokes doesn't go brain dead and decide to go pro. He needs at least one more year. However, there is no reason to lose on your home floor like they lost tonight. They were outhustled and outplayed. That is easily the worst effort of the year and I hope for the rest of the year.

I hope they can get their heads out of their asses and play Bama hard, but Bama plays similar to UT. Luckily, they're not a high scoring team like Ole Miss. I just don't see them winning on the road. Then they get to go to Lexington. Tough schedule out of the gate. They're staring down the barrel of a 0-3 gun (start).

I like Coach Martin, but the season has been underwhelming to say the least. He's got to have a successful season next year or he will be out.

I really don't know the answer. We play fast and our D sucks, sure we put up 70-80, but we're now giving up 85-95.

Go back to slowing things down and making it ugly seems to give us a better chance.

I'd like to see if we can find a medium...these last 2 games us trying to play faster has resulted in more EASY buckets than I've seen in a LOOOOOONG time.

CCM reminds me more every day of Buzz Petersen.

Haha. Have to say I thought this but CCM's players play much harder for him. I think we might be ok. We have lost to 4 good teams. UVA is ok. Lets just see where we go.

I like CCM and am cheering for him but I don't think he's gonna get it done. Basketball is an emotional sport and coach shows none. His players play uninspired. He never confronts the officials when his team is getting hoodood. The UT administration should have never allowed an AD with one foot out the door to have made this hire.

Cuonzo's players have taken his lack of emotion and translated it into a lack of passion. That's not going to transform this bunch into a winning team.

UT isn't going to outscore many teams in a run n gun game. Go back to what you know best. Slow it down even if it is boring to people. If we keep this up, they're not going to beat many teams.

Wes Rucker called it the worst defensive UT performance under Martin he has seen. He also said that the Henderson kid gave a UT fan a middle finger military salute after a 3. Then he said he's going to get punched in the face in SEC play. Heh. I wouldn't doubt it. He's going to get a reputation and everyone will be on his ass on the road.

If Martin never called a timeout you would never know Tn had a basketball coach. He is the most boring unemotional coach I have ever seen in my life.He never challenges a call ,nothing. This team is bad period.

Unfortunately he's the kind of kid that thrives on that, what a punk.

Someone is going to take him out. Unfortunately, our guys were more than happy to let him continue to get shots off. Someone needed to knock his ass down hard.

It was really disappointing watching our team let him do whatever he wanted. I miss CJ Watson knocking out Joakim Noah's tooth.

I like CCM as well I also likede Buzz, but we were going nowhere with him at the helm. Ii do not see Stokes developing at all which worries me as much as anything about CCM. Maybe Stokes isn't as good as we all thought, however, it's CCM that should be developing him as a player. Richardson has improved, as has Yemi. Other than that, I haven't seen much improvement in any player. Not sure CCM will get it done here. Next season will be critical for him keeping his job. He also needs to recruit better.

This is what I'm thinking. I almost feel bad for Stokes, because I can't help but wonder if Cuanzo's failure to develop him as a player is going to cost him big money at the next level. Hell, I wonder if his failure to develop will cost him a chance to even be drafted.

It's true, he may have just been overrated, but something tells me Billy Donovan, Rick Pitino, Tom Izzo, and others would drool over a player with Stokes' body and skill set and turn him into an absolute beast.

Of course, to be fair, the grass is always greener on the other side. This is just the way it seems at the moment.

Well this is for sure. Ole mrs. has a better bald coach then our bald coach. Martin's ability as a evaluator of player talent for the SEC is lacking.

These kids are not having fun even when they win. Their poor shooting is due to what is going on between their ears and that is coaching territory. When did Pearl or Fulmer ever tell the media to ask a player why he is shooting so poorly? CCM told them to ask Golden instead of him. Only Dooley would sic the media on a player. I cannot imagine being subjected to a coach that looks like he is never having fun. And that is how ccm looks and acts.

Remember the Pearl days, before he decided to admit his small sin and was not forgiven? Tennessee basketball was flowering. Now it withers.

Hopefully the Pearl will coach for us again.

In the end Tennessee sports will suffer until we get an AD that can bring in coaching talent that can make it in the SEC. What we need is a Tennessee boy as AD. Oh, say...FULMER!!!

Fire cheeks and Hart now.
