Wes Moore Twitter Rumor

Wes Moore is a good coach but at 61 he's too old in my opinion. I still think Jeff Walz will wind up the Tennessee women's basketball coach. Knoxnews has a 50 photo spread of Coach Walz and I don't think they would do that unless he's about to become the Tennessee women's basketball head coach.

Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz through the years

You would be wrong.... the Knoxville news sentience does those kind of spreads all the time and are made fun of by other local media for most of their topics.

haven't seen Moore in a few years but he lived down the street from us when he was at UTC. He would have walked to Knoxville for the job back then.

I don't mind the hire. He's around the same age as Rick Barnes. The main question would be his staff and recruiting. If Schaefer can be successful at MSU (being just a couple years younger than Wes, and having never been a HC before then, at that), Moore could definitely be successful here.

I still like Walz, Ivey, or Gail more than him, but he would be a top 5 choice for me. It's not a "sexy" hire but could be a very good hire if he has a staff of good recruiters.

I'm not worried about his age, that's the same gripe a lot of folks had about David Cutcliffe a couple of football hires ago and boy would we have been better off if he had come.

Can anyone discredit or acknowledge this? I don’t know the source, but they have a ton of followers.

I personally think he’s too old, and isn’t the best long term hire. I also don’t know about his recruiting prowess. That’s just me though.

I think the Russians are interfering!
