West, Richardson,and Clear

I have said before that at this point, we would not take a commitment from either West or Clark. Our current OL commitments are solid and we are saving room for Richardson and Clear, both of whom we are in good shape with.

While on the subject, I think a lot of folks are overlooking the fact that Clear stated in one interview that we are recruiting him as a TE, but that Dooley also mentioned using him as a DE in some situations coming off the edge.

Frankly, I think Clear's highest potential, especially for UT, but also for his future in the NFL is at DT. With a couple of years under Wylie, Clear will become a beast at DT and a 1st round draft pick if he is willing to commit to making the change.

I have never seen where we are recruiting as a "situational" DE.

He says we are recruiting him at TE AND DE.

They want him as either one and will decide which place is best for him when he gets here. Nothing really situational about it.

Situational or not we need him. We need Clear & Richardson. I have a feeling we get both, and while feelings mean nothing, they're something I'm not used to having for the best recruits in TN.

i saw the video interview where he said we were recruiting him as a TE and a DE, but he didn't say situational.
