I know this is going to bring the wrath of pj and bill, but no where in the bible does it say to kill non believers. The Koran does; you can argue all you want but that's a fact. Are all Muslims evil? I don't think so. I'm just stating what it says.

I encourage you to read the book of Numbers. While it doesn't specifically say to kill non-believers, it clearly gave Moses and his men permission to kill men, women (if they've committed adultery), all young boys, and to spare all the young girls who haven't committed adultery for themselves. Going off the Old Testament, God distinctly believed in avengement.

As for the Koran, there are only certain instances where it condones killing a non-believer. Unfortunately, many of the Islamic radicals take some its passages completely out of context to fit their own agenda(s) in most cases.

Phred Phelps is in for a surprise when he dies. I see him getting the same treatment Hitler does in the movie "Little Nicky".

I think they're nutjobs. The Bible is very hard for the average joe like me to interpret, which is much like politics for me - I never know what to believe.

I know that I believe in God and that I don't believe he hates homosexuals.
i don't think God hates the homosexual but i do believe that he hates the sin

God doesn't hate homosexuals, but He does hate homosexuality. He doesn't hate murderers, but He does hate murder. He doesn't hate adulterers, but He does hate adultery. It is our sin which He hates, not us.

The bile these people spew is nothing but detrimental to the cause of Christ. It really galls me that they invoke the name of my God for anything. :realmad: I have no doubt that they are in for a rude awakening when they stand before the Great White Throne.

I will be the first to admit that The Old Testament has some pretty rough stuff in it.... but read the rest of the bible and it clearly states to love those who would do you wrong, not kill. I'm not getting into a theology discussion with you, but to say in only a few instances the Koran says to kill is wrong. It says to kill the non believers. If you're not Muslim, you're a non believer. You can't say that a few wackos are twisting it; it's clearly there.

Again, it only calls for it under three conditions:

1. Non-believers waging war against Islam (or Allah).

2. Against Satan

3. Against the evil inclinations of one's inner self.

The point is that they receive permission for a fatwa BECAUSE certain people are non-believers, not that they started the war first.

If you're talking about the radicals/extremists, the majority of this post would be accurate. There are very strict rules on who is eligible to issue a valid fatwa, as well as on the conditions the fatwa must satisfy to be valid. Of the recent fatwas issued, none of them were specifically designated for non-believers. I'd also add that a fatwa can carry all kinds of punishment possibilities (fatwas of death are seldom carried).

Everyone should give thanks to The Patriot Guard Riders and the work they do. Their a group of motorcyclist, mostly veterans who attend the funerals of fallen soldiers the protect the family from any protesters. Through my work as a motorcycle photographer I've met several Patriot Guard Riders and their some best people you'll ever meet. If your out and see a bike with a with a yellow sticker across the windscreen it's probably a Patriot Guard Rider, let them know you appreciate what their doing.

Last year my wifes boss lost his son in Afghanistan and we were afraid protesters would should show up. Thankfully none of them did but several members of the Patriot Guard Riders did,

Please take time to listen.

I saw them last year when the solider died. They rode through Cookeville in the procession... my family and I went and stood on the side of the road to pay our respects, along with a lot of other people I might add.

That was probably the funeral for Alex Van Aalten last April. My wife works for his dad so I was there to.

These people have been here in the Quad Cities several times since the War started. I wish they would all just drop off of the face of the earth. They're protesting the Oscars... wtf!!!
