WestKyCats countdown to the streak ending

I am beginning to get a little embarrassed for the UK program. Commonwealth looked half full yesterday.

If they're going to play like THAT against a Louisiana-Whatever do you really blame people for not showing up?

I've been to two UT-UK games in Commonwealth. I'd say 1/3 of the stadium was Orange.

If they play like that again this week, the Polecats might as well stay in Lexington and have some turkey with my family and me.

They are not a great football team, but they are 7-4. The fans just cannot stand Rich Brooks.

I have yet to understand that mentality. You're right. 7-4 shows that UK is improving. If they have a solid RB in the works to replace Rafael, I believe Pulley will be a solid replacement for Woodson.

The hatred for Brooks is mind boggling to me.

I thought that if Morris stayed, the Cats would have a chance to make some real noise in the East.

UK was hammered about as bad as Bammer with probation but starting from a much weaker point. They had crazy low numbers of scholly players over the last couple years.

Looking back, I wish they beat us last year to end the streak.

52,000 for Senior Day. Pathetic.

I could do without this kind of thread on a TENNESSEE MESSAGE BOARD.

Umm... Kentucky is Tennessee's next opponent. Lighten up, man!

It was a terrible outing. I can only hope they decide to play like they did against Georgia next Saturday.

I don't think Kentucky fans hate Brooks as a whole. What you see on the message boards are the vocal minority for the most part. The other thing you're seeing is an extreme disappointment with our DC (Archer) and Brooks seems to want to stick by him, which irritates a few more of us.

The attendance issue is another matter. I would think it had a little to do with the opponents for our home games, Keeneland races and the breeder's cup hitting on some of those weekends.

As far as I am concerned, I am "happier" with the current record and the possibilty to end the season at 8 and 4 with the possibilty of 2nd in the east. I know for you guys 2nd in the east is next to nothing, but for us it shows great improvement.

Anyway, we are bowl bound this year for the first time since probation and it gives us those extra weeks of practice to build on for next year with an already young team...

Sorry, I forgot that this board is SOOOOOO friendly to opposing team's fans that we should have threads that countdown our Vols losing to them.

I know you post here a lot and I have NO problem with you at all. I like what you add to the board. All that being said, I do NOT have to like a thread about my Vols losing, regardless how tongue in cheek or how old it is.

It's all good, point taken. I wouldn't want to see such a thread in my digs, either.

Is that the same Archer from LSU way back? I'd be upset if he was on our staff too... his name is always associated with underachievement it seems.

Yep, indeed. He's on the hotseat bigtime, although most people forget that he has been forced to play 14 freshmen and sophomores on defense, due to injuries and the lingering effects of probation.

Sanders brings some stuff to your quarterback and offense, which is a big plus for you. But IMO, KY is not at the same level with TN, not even close. TN will make your quarterback look mediocre.

Here's to a good game then! :good!:
