If Obama were capable of "embarrassment" in this matter, all he would need to do would be to answer the now overwhelming call of the American people for transparency, candor, honesty and forthrightness. The decent thing to do for a man who seeks only to avoid "embarrassment" is to prove he is what he claims. If he can't, he should step aside as president.

Obama is embarrassing the entire nation with this stonewalling.

Let me try and break this down.

The argument is that Obama practices liberation theology Christianity, not "mainstream Christianity."

This argument presupposes the idea that Obama is a Christian.

If Obama is a Christian, how can he be a Muslim?

At least some liberation theology pushers wouldn't care. Their view transcends labels or pesky things like Jesus' claim of being the exclusive way to God.

I don't care what his religion is. It's his political philosophy and complete lack of leadership ability that are truly troubling.

If he is Muslim... his religion heavily influences or determines his political philosophy.

If he is a liberation theology follower then his religion IS his political philosophy in a very dangerous way.

The majority of Americans are stupid, but also believe in Christianity and creation and thus are no longer conveniently stupid.

The majority of Americans are stupid until they think the POTUS has constructed an elaborate lie to cover his "real" religious beliefs, then they are no longer stupid, again their popular opinion can be triumphantly held up as evidence of the reasonableness of these claims.


See, to me that looks like arrogance and stupidity. I just must be one of the dumb ones. At least I know all I have to do to not be part of the stupid majority is to just agree with the majority.

Most Americans of all stripes are ignorant in some respect or another... and some really don't care to know. The latter are the REAL problem.

According to consistent polling there are twice as many self described conservatives as self described liberals. Then there's about 40% who will point whichever way the wind blows if they decide to vote.

In reality, Dems depend on ignorant voters to win. By a 2 to 1 margin, people who know enough to take a strong stand identify with conservatives.
