What a National Championship Recruiting Class Looks Like

It definitely doesn’t hurt.. but according to 247 sports, GA has been top 4 since 2017. And was ranked #6 in 2016... Kirby’s first year. Plus Georgia is a hotbed of football talent. But with transfers, the new SEC , and 12 team playoffs, .. those top recruiting classes will be irrelevant
State of Ga is loaded…every year. CKS prob can visit multiple 5* when he’s out to lunch. When CPF was the feared recruiter all other teams dreaded he was getting great talent from Ga. Not an excuse…just a fact.

Actually, 9 of the 16 in your screenshot won 0 national titles, due to transferring out or going to the NFL. 6 won 1 national title. Only 1 person on your screenshot won 2 national titles.
How dare you use facts and data on this site. It causes allergic rashes and cerebellum short circuits in some on this site.

All we got to do is build a elite Defense and WE WILL WIN A NATTY, a big if but if we can land 2 or 3 top DL we are on our way, but it will take 2 or 3 more years in recruiting to get our D where it needs to be, look at BAMA AND THE dawgs UP FRONT WHAT MAKES you elite, you got to be elite not good to win it all.

We need to build a fence around TN. If they are 2 or 3* and bleed orange, then that's what we want. 5* PreMadonnas need not apply.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. That class was bright and shiny, but didn't really contribute to the national titles.

We will win a title by '26

Hope you're right, but it is about to get tougher in the SEC.

Bama has at least a few more years with Saban and he appears to have pulled out all the stops in recruiting for the last two years and we know what UGA is doing.
So far nothing has really changed with these two, but:

LSU is going to get really tough. Brian Kelly can coach and his lines are going to be stuffed with local NFL talent.
Auburn, like it or not, has Freeze who can really coach and they will attract talent, with boosters willing to spend.
Oklahoma is not going to just roll over and become Missouri.
Florida: Napier is putting together a pretty good class this year himself. Remains to be seen if he can get it done coaching at this level, but he could turn out to be a tough out.

And (don't laugh!) Texas may eventually be back! They are loading up on talent. Texas kids are no longer bypassing them for the SEC (I still think this was one of the biggest reasons for their move out of the B12).

CJH has Tennessee on a great trajectory and with the 12-team playoff, I think we see the Vols as regulars in the playoffs. If not for the debacle in Columbia, I think they would have been the #3 team against Michigan, pushing TCU to #4. In that scenario, I think they would have had a pretty good chance to play UGA again in the title game.

A simple way to do it is to look at the five most recent national champions recruiting classes. Leave out the personal agenda and check the actual facts, data and statistics. Observe the massive amount of raw talent and NFL level ability.

Maybe also consider that where it once was just Bama, now it is also UGA sitting up there at the top. You are unlikely to win it all with a roster full of projects. I know the twelve team nonsense has given some folks false hope, but the bottom line is you still have to beat the best In order to be the best. Gotta face 'em down on the field and win it straight up.

Pretty wide margin between UGA/Bama recruiting and a team full of projects
