What a shame

I bet nobody on this board was crying about Manning trying to break the TD record last year.

You seriously can't even begin to compare the two.

Alexander pitched a fit last year because Holmgren didn't keep him in the games long enough to win the rushing title, like it was his right or something. Along with that crap yesterday where he was jumping up and down on the sidelines, because he knew he probably wouldn't play much at all next week since the Seahawks had wrapped up home field advantage.

Peyton simply went out there and did his job last year, he didn't have to whine and complain to get the ball or stay in late in the games. In fact, last year in the Baltimore game with a few seconds left and the Colts comfortably leading, Indy got the ball on the Baltimore 5 yard line or so, and Peyton just took a knee.

It's called class and respect.

The guy complained last year because he was taken out in a goal line running situation in which he would have obtained the title. I think he had the right to be upset, and the right to stay in for one play after all the work he did last year. Maybe he was a little too vocal about it, but so what? If it were you would you not feel like you had the right to earn the rushing title in that situation? Alexander should have got the rushing title but did not because he was not afforded the chance and there are not many players in the NFL who would have not been upset in that situation. You don't think Peyton would have been upset if he was taken out of a game with a chance to break the TD record? Of course he would....he may not have been as vocal about it but he would have been upset.

Be upset about it to yourself all you want, it just makes a person look ridiculous and selfish to call out their coach because of something the player themselves didn't obtain.

I'd like to think if I was a player, I'd be more concerned with W's over records... but who am I kidding, I'd just be out there for the money.

Come on . . . Alexander got pulled from the final game of the year needing only like 3 yards to win the rushing title. I think more than anything he was mad that the Seahawks were oblivious that he only needed one more carry.

I can even remember the color analyst calling the game being incredulous when he saw that they weren't going to give him the carry he needed.

Also nice to see that Alexander keeps up with his own stats enough to know tha he's within a yard or two that late in the game.

everyone has an opinion. too bad urs is worthless.
Thanks for the comment! Sorry but I just really think it is funny that a T.O. fan is complaining about a player being selfish. Kind of like a bammer complaining about cheating.

You are not REALLY going to argue that TO is not selfish are you? The superbowl situation was seemingly selfless, but come on this guy is the epitome of selfishness. By the way, I never said you rubbed people the wrong way I just pointed out that a TO fan calling a player selfish was pretty funny.
