1. Michigan - Ohio St - Just because the two states actually called up their militia's to go at each other over which state Toledo belonged to. Shots were fired and the US Govt had to settle things. That's how the "UP" (Upper Peninsula) became part of Mich rather than Wisconsin. The govt took the UP from the Wisconsin "territory" and gave it to Mich in exchange for the "Toledo Strip" going to Ohio.

2. Bama vs Aub
3. Okla vs TX
4. wash vs OREGON - for voting us out of the 1948 Rose Bowl ---- traitors of the NW
5. OSU vs Oregon - I'm a Duck nuff said
6. Army vs Navy
7. USC vs ND
8. Mich vs ND
9. Cal vs Stanford - Something about the brains of the bay going at it that is just fun
10. I'll stop here

I’m an Aggie alum. We actually were fine with playing texas when we came to the SEC. At that time, they said they didn’t want to play us. So, screw ‘em.

Now, they don’t really have any high profile games in the big dumpster fire conference, which is why they want to play us again. It will be on our terms, not there’s. I’d be fine never playing them again.

They’re the “Alabama” of the big 12 (as far as attitude), without the actual good team.

Here’s a list of rivalry games that used to be good but have either ceased due to conference realignment or the programs have just fallen off.

West Virginia - Pitt (Backyard Brawl)
Miami - FSU
Nebraska - Colorado (some great games in the 90s and early 2000s)
Notre Dame - Miami
Texas - Texas A&M
UF - Miami (I’m glad they brought this one back)

I’ll go...
1. Army/Navy - no other rivalry gets an entire Saturday to themselves.
2. Auburn/Alabama - those idiots (fans) literally kill each other over this rivalry.
3. Ohio St/Michigan - about as much hate as #2.
4. UT/Bama - probably a homer pick I admit.
5. Auburn/Georgia
6. Florida/Georgia
7. Florida/FSU
8. Ole Miss/Miss St (probably should be higher actually but I’m not retyping)
9. USC/UCLA
10. Pitt/Penn St

It gets tough towards the end as there are so many good ones so I just picked some and moved on. Good question though.

Here is one that used to be major and had some significant games way back in the day, including, likely, the most famous Halloween game of all time, LSU - Ole Miss.
