Remember Merritt will not play the first two games due to being ejected in his last game at University of Cincinnati. He and Coach A will have to sit the first two games in Arizona.

I thought that Coach A only had to miss one more game? He was suspended for three games after getting kicked out of Game 1 of the Super Regional, so he has already missed two games.

Tennessee pitching coach Frank Anderson suspended 3 games following ejection in Super Regional

LSU gets both Arkansas and Tennessee at home (back-to-back actually) and don't play Vanderbilt or Florida at all. HUGE advantage.
They do have road trips to Oxford and College Station but host Mississippi State who I still believe will be struggling this season.
LSU's schedule does soften tremendously after March.
It's actually god that Arky and Vols get them early - even if it's in Red Stick.
I don't know why LSU opted to play such a soft out-of-conference schedule. They need to be tested early.
With the relatively soft early season schedule, the Tigers may be still working on this pitching rotation in that late March (@aTm, Arky, Tenn)
After those first 9 SEC games, no one should be able to touch them.

By the way, Florida avoids both Arkansas and LSU.
Talking about a huge advantage!
I'm looking at their schedule.

The Gators avoid the cold weather foes until April and May (TN in April and KY in May)
Miami comes to Gainesville
their road series are Ole Miss, Tennessee, South Carolina, aTm, and Kentucky.
Florida may have an outsized record and still not be fully tested.

This sort of thing happens to the top teams every season. Including Tennessee the last few seasons. Still, a tough break for Arkansas

Some Arkansas fans must have pissed off the sports gods with Nick Smith and now this. Not to mention the entire secondary getting hurt in football.

Hogs are pretty deep but that's the second year in a row this has happened with Pallette last season.
