What are former players doing?

Funny how you never hear of a failed drug test anymore. Probably more of that now that they have NiL money.
They quietly made a change a few years ago where they only test for performance enhancing drugs, and do it randomly. Any penalties are handled in the house, there’s no longer mandatory suspensions or expulsions at most places. They still test for illicit drugs at NCAA events, but kids know those are coming.

Ahhh....that explains that!!!

I thought Coker was going to be the next big but couldn't bass the pee-test and knew for sure that Hefney was a top 10 draft pick until he came back for his senior year and decided to play half-hearted all season who then went on to like the powder. The Hefney falloff should be studied.
Hefney was never goin to be a high pick

Janzen Jackson was convicted in 2017 of voluntary manslaughter in the 2014 strangulation death of his mothers boyfriend. He could however be pastoring a small church in a prison in nowhere Louisianna. 11 year sentence.
That's awful news all around. The last thing I remembered about Janzen Jackson was that he torpedoed at Marcus Lattimore's knee and derailed his career...

That is not true.

Janzen Jackson took the head off some little Florida Gator receiver derailing his career. Brandon Jacobs or some such...?

We had a nice DB from Nashville area that hit Lattimore's knee. And I remain convinced to this day that was an accident. But, yes...that was a tragic event.

Don't look that one up. Trust me, you don't want to know.

I was wondering about Jeremy Banks. He signed a 3 year deal with the Bucs and was released after two months. Some people can't get out of their own way.
It would be more rare if he made the team as an UDFA. Plenty of guys give it a shot and don’t stick including all conference and all American players.

Eric Gordon during Dooley years I believe hit Lattimore's leg.

For whatever reason, I can recall that is was perhaps #18. Seems he was a senior; that name sounds correct but my memory is fuzzy of Dooley years.

Lattimore was running off left tackle. The DB was simply tackling a guy one-on-one who was much stronger and probably outweighed him by 50 pounds.

Rough event to watch.

You can google Lattimore's injury and see the articles and photos on injury. I didn't want to repost pic out of respect of gruesome and sad injury. But it's #24 Gordon.

Note, the "3 year" contract was only guaranteed if he made 53 man roster. All he got was his 10K signing bonus from them for being a camp body...

This. He was an undrafted free agent and those contracts guys sign usually don't mean that much becaues nothing matters until they make the final roster.

Weird. it is. But not the first time a college player you saw as a can't miss superstar can't even seem to tie his own shoes in the pros. That's life I guess.
