what have you done for me lately? as in the past nine years?
SEC Commits
LSU-9
Georgia-6
Auburn-3
Miss State 3
Arkansas-2
Florida-2
Miss- 1
Alabama-1
South Carolina-1
Kentucky-1
Tennessee-0
Vanderbilt-0
LSU just won the NC.
UGA's commits are all from the state of GA.
AUB's are all from the state of Alabama.
Miss St sucks, and so do their recruits right now.
Arky's commits are all from Arkansas.
Florida is one year off a NC, and 1/2 is from their state.
Randy was a terrible RB coach. I mean, Travis Henry, Jay Graham, Jamal Lewis etc
He really made Casey Clausen terrible too.
So, what happened in 2006 if 2008 is the exception? prospects are being pressured to commit earlier and earlier. Guys who have relied on "closing strong" over the years are now utilizing an outadted strategy. UTK really needs someone like Marlon Brown to commit NOW so they can get some momentum with other elite prospects. If everyone sits back and wait to see how Clawson does before making a decision, for which I cannot blame them, it could result in 3 out of 4 recruiting classes being well below the usual talent level. I don't care how good the 2008 class is, or how good the coaches are. If you get into that kind of talent deficit against teams that have no trouble outrecruiting you due to their in-state talent, you are stewed. Whatever it takes, they need a big time on-the-record commitment ASAP.seriously guys the pessimism on this board is rediculous. 08 was the exception...not the rule
we'll be back with a top 10 class...and again...
IT"S TOO DAMN EARLY TO FREAK OUT OVER RECRUITING!!!
