Lots of runners on base (see our high OBP) gives us the opportunity to score more. We do a lot of 2-out damage. The more runners that get on base, the more you will strand, naturally. I think it’s an optics situation.

at 37-3, and with the closest other teams in the top 25 with 8 losses, we obviously don't leave too many runners stranded. Our biggest weakness is holding runners to their base, not leaving runners on base.

Another amazing accomplishment - so far - is that all other teams in the top 25 have at least 8 losses, and we have only 3. That's a five game differential, a huge amount of separation from everyone else in the nation.

I’m paraphrasing KRog from the D1 chat. Asked the question, how wide is the gap between Tennessee and Oregon St? What would have to happen for the Beaver to take over the #1 spot?

His answer was the gap is wide but if Tennessee had an 0-4 week, you could at least have the conversation. That’s about the highest praise you are gonna get out of the D1 folks.
